Smith darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Smith is pressing down on Wray's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wray is holding on for now. Smith is nestled in close to Wray, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kislyak is defended easily by Rapp. Rapp sizes up Kislyak with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Rapp checks a leg kick. Kislyak shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rapp pinned against the cage. Rapp gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice sprawl there from Rapp as Kislyak shoots in. Xavier Rapp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maxim Kislyak. Kislyak takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The fighters circling - Pate throws out the jab but it was never going to land. LeBalls might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. LeBalls bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pate's head. Pate uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by LeBalls.
