The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyree rushes O Brian and presses him up against the cage. O Brian prevents a takedown attempt there.

O Brian works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. O Brian wants to stand but Tyree has a closed guard, so he can't escape. O Brian shoots in for a takedown but Tyree shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. O Brian plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A cross from Turner lands. Morgan looks to land a combination but Turner avoids it well. Morgan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Morgan has a takedown stuffed. Morgan fails with a takedown attempt. CJ Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Morgan. Turner closes the distance and pushes Morgan back into the cage. Morgan lands a nice knee to the body. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phillips moves out of range as Hutz throws a body kick.
Phillips shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hutz as he jumps to the side. Hutz throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Phillips's head. Hutz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Phillips looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hutz is fending him off so far but Phillips persists. Nope, Hutz circles away and we're back to standing. Eugene Hutz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Phillips takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Hutz is looking to clinch. Hutz throws a shot to the body.
Phillips is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hutz lands a big head kick that sends Phillips tumbling to the mat! Hutz takes a step backwards and waves Phillips back to his feet - he wants the finish!
