4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leevi Nikkola! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stack moves into the clinch successfully.
Stack breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nikkola shoots for a takedown but Stack saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nikkola tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stack sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nikkola somewhat. Nikkola shoots for a takedown but Stack saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Big Stack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leevi Nikkola. Nikkola fails with a takedown attempt. Stack shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Stack was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Stack misses with a series of strikes from mount. Nikkola shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Stack counters with a shoot takedown. Nikkola fights it but they end up in guard. Stack postures up in Nikkola's guard and throws a big left but Nikkola blocks it. Nikkola wants to sweep but no luck. Nikkola managing to control the position. Stack preventing the sweep. Stack trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Nikkola wants to sweep here but Stack controlling him for the moment. Nikkola is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Stack shoots for a double leg takedown but Nikkola sprawls well. He's pushed Stack's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nikkola shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Stack counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nikkola won't be happy with that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nikkola tries to improve position but can't. Stack misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Big Stack overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Stack looking very determined here, making life difficult for Nikkola.

DeSouza throws a right hand that Kouture ducks under and follows up with a left that Kouture also avoids with ease. DeSouza misses with a series of wild punches.

Raendi Kouture is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. DeSouza throws a series of punches but Kouture moves out of range. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Kouture is rocked! Kouture ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kouture attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. DeSouza swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Kouture has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. DeSouza throws a series of punches but Kouture avoids them all with ease. Kouture looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. DeSouza checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. DeSouza is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. DeSouza misses with a takedown attempt - Kouture sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kouture throws a nice head kick!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kouture feints and then cracks DeSouza's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow DeSouza down. Kouture uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from DeSouza. DeSouza misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
DeSouza fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kouture manages to avoid it. Raendi Kouture has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! DeSouza tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kouture was well out of range. Poor timing from DeSouza. Kouture takes one on the button. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A slow jab from DeSouza misses its intended target. DeSouza is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kouture's half guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Po circles away quickly and effectively. Newell fails to land with a series of punches.
Po shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Newell as he avoids it easily. Horrible takedown by Po or perhaps it was just good defense by Newell which made him look bad. Po looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Newell! Po avoids the attempt from Newell to control. Po working for a submission but Newell is keeping him at bay. Newell can't escape the position.

Po looks gassed! Newell closes the distance and pushes Po back into the cage. Po is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Stroud.
Stroud gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stroud swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gracie's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Stroud blocks a jab. Stroud tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gracie paws at him with a jab and circles away. Stroud lands a body shot.

A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Stroud turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Stroud throws a head kick that misses. Stroud is looking to wear down Gracie with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Stroud misses with a two punch combination.

Stroud has Gracie pressed against the cage.

Blake leaves Junior with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Junttila drops his hands momentarily. Tonal doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Junttila staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Junttila doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
