6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gustavo Sliva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quinton Jackson! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson pushes Sliva up against the cage in a clinch. Jackson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Jackson has hold of one of Sliva's legs. Sliva is fighting the takedown attempt but Jackson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Sliva has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Jackson doesn't defend quickly enough and Sliva has managed to lock this one up! Can Jackson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sliva on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Gustavo Sliva!
