The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fernandez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jabari moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Fernandez shoots in for a double leg but Jabari sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Fernandez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Hinton changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kyle looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hinton is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Kyle's shoulder. That is not cool. Hinton trying to control the position but Kyle is working away. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Steiner is thwarting im a get ya's attempts to control the position. im a get ya keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Steiner is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. im a get ya trying to control here.
