These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skullz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Persson has hold of one of Skullz 's legs. Skullz is fighting the takedown attempt but Persson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Persson won't allow Skullz to get back to his feet. Persson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Skullz looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Persson is defending well. Skullz quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Persson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Skullz celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akumi tries a head kick but it misses.
Forbs misses with a wild body shot. Forbs lands a jab to the head.
Forbs blocks the body kick.
Forbs shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Akumi pinned against the cage. Akumi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Forbs throws a nice looking combination but Akumi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Forbs drops Akumi with a left and a right! Oh, Akumi is hurt - Forbs dives into side control looking to finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Forbs is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Akumi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Forbs in side control, just content to control the action for now. Akumi tries to bench press Forbs off him but Forbs keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Forbs stalls from top position. Forbs working away. Forbs staying calm. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Forbs is working Akumi over with some ground and pound from side control. Forbs stands up. Forbs slaps away a takedown attempt from Akumi, before circling back to the center of the mat. Akumi looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akumi tries to clinch there but Forbs circles away.
Kameron Forbs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Forbs throws a right hand that Akumi ducks under and follows up with a left that Akumi also avoids with ease. Akumi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Forbs clinches. Akumi fails to pull guard.

Forbs looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Akumi lands a couple of elbows. Forbs keeping moving, preventing Akumi from controlling successfully. Akumi won't allow Forbs to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Forbs is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Nice body punch from Forbs - that landed with a thud.
Forbs's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Forbs wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Akumi has his takedown stuffed and Forbs counters with a shoot takedown. Akumi fights it but they end up in guard. Kameron Forbs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yusuf Akumi. Forbs not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Forbs's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Forbs works his way back into a safe position though. Akumi being controlled here, momentarily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Akumi shoots and misses and Forbs counters with a series of strikes. Akumi will be more careful next time no doubt. Kameron Forbs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Akumi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Forbs tries to bum rush Akumi with a series of wild strikes but Akumi uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Akumi is looking to clinch but Forbs is avoiding it.

That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Akumi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Akumi trying to control the position from guard on top but Forbs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Forbs pulls Akumi in close to his closed guard and prevents Akumi from doing any damage or advancing position. Akumi stops Forbs from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Akumi gets to his feet - Forbs follows without any prompting. Akumi darts in trying to clinch and Forbs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Forbs displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Akumi throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Forbs's head. Akumi tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Forbs counters with a nice body shot. Forbs moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Forbs missing with a left hand there. Akumi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Akumi darts in trying to clinch letting Forbs counter with a right hand.

Akumi pushes Forbs against the cage but Forbs circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kameron Forbs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Forbs postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kameron Forbs is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kameron Forbs overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Akumi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Forbs controls the pace. Forbs is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Akumi can do to turn this around? Akumi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Yusuf Akumi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Forbs looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones Jr throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Jones Jr lands a big right hand that sends Tann crashing to the mat! Jones Jr stays standing though and waves Tann back to his feet!
It looks like Robert Tann has been cut. Tann showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jones Jr.
Jones Jr throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tann. Jones Jr throws a lazy right hand but Tann sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A left lands for Tann. Jones Jr throws a looping overhand right but Tann ducks down to avoid it. Jones Jr looks to throw the jab but Tann is out of range. Jones Jr drops Tann with a beautiful combination! Tann stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jones Jr is looking for the KO!
Tann is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones Jr is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Tann hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Haffie tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Haffie wants to get back to his feet. Tollie gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Haffie wants to get back to his feet.

The ref makes him back up and allows Haffie to get to his feet. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Haffie lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tollie has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tollie and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Haffie lands a nice hook to Tollie's body. Tollie takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Tollie really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Haffie fails to land with a series of punches.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodrick throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Water bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Water trying to control the position but Rodrick is working away. Rodrick is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Water is trying to move to mount but Rodrick reverses beautifully and ends up in Water's guard. Rodrick sitting in guard, not really doing much. Rodrick postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Water keeping full guard, as Rodrick tries to pass. Rodrick tries to stand but Water is controlling from the bottom. Water has his foot on Rodrick's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rodrick works his way back into a safe position though. Water is trying to control the position but Rodrick postures up. Water managing to control the position. Water should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rodrick tries to stand but Water is controlling from the bottom. Water is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Rodrick has his hands clasped together but Water extends an breaks Rodrick's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Water.
