Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gucci One! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonas Hansson! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! One shoots for a double leg takedown but Hansson sprawls well. He's pushed One's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. One slips under a jab. Hansson lands a really nice looking cross but One seems unphased.
One misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hansson lands a right hook to the body.
Hansson throws a shot from downtown. One moves away and avoids it. Hansson jabs at One's body. One is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hansson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Jonas Hansson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hansson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but One moves out of range and avoids them all easily. One on the wrong end of a nice hook. Hansson has taken the fight to the clinch.

Hansson thows a strike but One uses the opportunity to reverse the position! Great move by One as he ends up in Hansson 's guard! One pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hansson is keeping the position for now. Hansson working for a triangle but One defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hansson wants to sweep here but One controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hansson tries to hold on but One postures up.

One breaks from Hansson's wrist control and lands an elbow. One wants to finish this one by submission but Hansson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from One. Hansson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hansson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of One's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take One's back! Hansson cracks One with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing One from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Jonas Hansson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Hansson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
One could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hansson throws a head kick that half lands.

Dog gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Enlightener. Enlightener swats away the attempt to clinch by Dog. Enlightener takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Dog throws a right hand that Enlightener ducks under and follows up with a left that Enlightener also avoids with ease. Enlightener feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Escobar tries to clinch but Penn moves out of range. Escobar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Penn has his foot on Escobar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Escobar works his way back into a safe position though. Penn controls Escobar momentarily but Escobar frees himself. Escobar lands a couple of decent looking shots. Escobar trying to control but Penn is working from the bottom. Escobar looking to pass the guard. Penn is looking for a triangle but Escobar pushes his legs off easily.

The cornerman is going to be in Merchury's bad books for that mishap!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hemlock tries to bum rush Sanderson with a series of wild strikes but Sanderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hemlock stuffs the takedown. Hemlock misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hemlock defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sanderson. Hemlock throws a chopping leg kick but Sanderson manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Sanderson closes the distance and clinches up with Hemlock, looking for a takedown. Sanderson pushes Hemlock against the cage but Hemlock circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rose dips to his left and cracks ekos with an uppercut! Rose lands with a shot to the body. Rose follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping ekos to the canvas! Rose pounces and lands several unanswered shots - ekos has had enough and taps out!
