The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gerrard throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Powers was covering up waiting for the punch and Gerrard finishes the takedown easily into guard. Gerrard wants to pass the guard but Powers is keeping the position. Gerrard slips nicely into half guard. Gerrard lands with a punch from half guard. Gerrard not doing much here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice body punch from Konrad. Some tries to keep at a distance but Konrad has taken the fight into the clinch. Konrad really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Konrad lands a hook that snaps the head of Some backwards. Some goes for a takedown in the clinch but Konrad prevents it.

Dax Hawkins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. No joy there for Hawkins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Romanoff rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hendry moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hendry shoots in but Romanoff avoids the takedown attempt easily. Whitelaw is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Xavier can't fight it off and eventually Whitelaw manages to take the fight to the floor. Xavier looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Whitelaw is pushing down on Xavier's leg trying to pass to half guard. Xavier is fighting to maintain full guard but Whitelaw has managed to sneak the leg through. Xavier is not content to let Whitelaw control the position. Xavier tries to kick Whitelaw off but Whitelaw keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Xavier makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Xavier. Whitelaw is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Xavier is just riding it out for now. Whitelaw eventually gives up the hold. Whitelaw seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Xavier does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Whitelaw looks gassed! Bailey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sistjierten. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
