 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Penn takes the fight into the clinch. Penn landing knees to the body.
Penn pulls guard successfully.
Penn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Szakowtski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Szakowtski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Szakowtski drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Penn dives on top into guard.
Penn is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Penn throwing strikes but missing. Penn controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Penn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. No luck with that takedown attempt from Penn. Penn walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Szakowtski checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Penn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Szakowtski paws at him with a jab and circles away. Penn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Szakowtski. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Penn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Szakowtski swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Szakowtski not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Penn stands and steps away. Szakowtski gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Mark Penn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Penn closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Szakowtski did well to prevent Penn getting side control. Penn is breathing heavily. Szakowtski works his way to full guard. Good work. Szakowtski keeping moving, preventing Penn from controlling successfully. Szakowtski looking for a sweep. Not yet Szakowtski, not yet. Szakowtski really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Penn trying to control but Szakowtski is working from the bottom. Szakowtski lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Penn! Penn tries to hold on but Szakowtski pushes him away.

Penn stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Szakowtski has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Penn manages to get his head free but now Szakowtski has transitioned to an armbar! Penn grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Szakowtski! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ricard shoots for a takedown but Lasner saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Ricard throws a nice looking combination but Lasner bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ricard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Ricard counters with a single leg into guard. Lasner didn't expect that. Ricard keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lasner's head.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Estafire throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Estafire misses with the combination.

Chonin is pressed up against the cage. Estafire has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chonin down to the mat. Chonin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Chonin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Estafire was well out of range. Poor timing from Chonin. Chonin moves forwards but Estafire connects with a nice, crisp jab. Nice body kick there by Estafire. Estafire ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Nice uppercut lands for Chonin. That snapped Estafire's head back.

Chonin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Estafire napping and manages to drive through into side control! Estafire tries to get back to half guard but can't. Chonin creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Estafire sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Estafire tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chonin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Estafire gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Estafire is pressing down on Chonin's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Chonin stopping the sweep attempt from Estafire. Estafire trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Chonin has gone for a leg lock! Estafire slips out almost immediately though and dives into Chonin's guard.

Chonin is breathing heavily. Estafire tries to free his leg and advance position but Chonin is retaining full guard. Estafire looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Chonin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Estafire defends well. Estafire has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Estafire trying to control the position from guard on top but Chonin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Estafire tries to free his leg and advance position but Chonin is retaining full guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Chonin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Estafire's guard. Estafire controls Chonin momentarily but Chonin frees himself. Chonin missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Chonin preventing the sweep. Chonin trying to control but Estafire is working from the bottom.
Chonin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Estafire looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Estafire looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Estafire! Estafire trying to control the action but Chonin is working from the bottom. Chonin gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Estafire working the ground and pound effectively.

 The referee stands the fighters back up. Rocky Estafire just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Estafire throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. No joy there for Estafire, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Estafire slips under a jab. Chonin stuffs the takedown. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Estafire delivers a nice body kick. Chonin moves out of range of the body kick. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Rocky Estafire will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Chonin is trying to work for a sweep but Estafire has mounted him! Rocky Estafire overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Chonin is trying to escape the mount.
Estafire cracks Chonin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Estafire takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kayaki Chonin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Chonin is desperately trying to improve his position but Estafire has a good base and remains in mount. Estafire lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
