The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Man with that takedown attempt. Man throws a push kick but Shark slaps the foot to one side. Shark digs a good body shot into Man's ribs. Man throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Shark. Man shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shark sprawls well. Shark wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Man gets slowly back to his feet. Man has a takedown stuffed. Shaun Shark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Big Man. Man tries to clinch there but Shark circles away.

Shark won't be happy with that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shark is trying to improve his position.

Man goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Shark has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Man but great work by Shark. Man is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Shark yanks on the arm and Man is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Abbas with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Keenan is doing well to control the position and prevent Abbas from advancing to side control. Abbas is pressing down on Keenan's thigh, looking to free his foot. Keenan is holding on for now. Abbas is breathing heavily. Keenan is trying to maintain the position but Abbas is very close to passing his half guard. Keenan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Keenan thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Keenan sitting in guard, not really doing much. Abbas wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Nino Abbas will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

It's a sloppy attempt though and Keenan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Keenan is breathing heavily. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Keenan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Keenan advances to half guard. Abbas is looking for a sweep. Keenan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are battling for position here. Abbas manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Keenan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Abbas is desperately trying to improve his position but Keenan has a good base and remains in mount. Keenan lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

McGee showed some decent athleticism there. McGee is keen to just control but Theodosi is a slippery customer. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McGee trying to work for an americana but Theodosi has managed to regain full guard.
McGee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. McGee advances position into side control! McGee tries to score with some ground and pound. Theodosi controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. McGee misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Theodosi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Theodosi takes a swing at McGee's ribcage but misses. McGee tries to land a leg kick but Theodosi saw it coming and moves away.

McGee throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. McGee drops his hands momentarily and Theodosi takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Theodosi throws a shot from downtown. McGee moves away and avoids it. McGee wants to clinch up but Theodosi keeps it at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Theodosi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McGee. Theodosi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A shot to the body from McGee misses and Theodosi counters with a right hand to the body. Theodosi changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. McGee moves in looking to clinch but Theodosi pushes him off. Theodosi slips under a jab. A combination from Theodosi does no damage. McGee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Theodosi.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rikki Theodosi. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Theodosi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Sanchez makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Smith takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Smith throws a head kick but Sanchez moves out of range.

Smith looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sanchez is fending him off so far but Smith persists. Nope, Sanchez circles away and we're back to standing. Sanchez throws out a loose jab but Smith uses good head movement to avoid it. Smith slips a jab and a cross from Sanchez.
Sanchez's corner calls for a 1-2. Sanchez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Horrible takedown by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Sanchez which made him look bad. Smith looks gassed! Smith shoots in for a double leg but Sanchez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Raul Sanchez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greig Smith. Sanchez misses with a hook. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sanchez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smith circles away quickly and effectively. Smith with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sanchez to score with a decent uppercut. I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Sanchez has cracked Smith with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Sanchez lands another huge swinging hook and Smith tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Smith, before Sanchez can land any more shots!
