The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holt shoots in looking for a takedown. Patterson tries to sprawl out of it but Holt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Patterson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Patterson shoots and misses

and Holt counters with a takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Patterson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Holt tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Holt has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Patterson is looking for a sweep.

Holt has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Patterson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Holt yanks on the arm and Patterson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Holt.

Bear avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bear in particular looking to stall.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Bear stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Curtis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Milstone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around James's waist but James gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Milstone off to one side.
James jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
James connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
James lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Milstone backs up against the cage.
Milstone checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
James digs a good body shot into Milstone's ribs.
Milstone walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Milstone has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Milstone there as he acknowledges the shot.
James throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Milstone stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
James lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Milstone circles away quickly and effectively.
James tries to bum rush Milstone with a series of wild strikes but Milstone uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
James lunges at Milstone with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Milstone's hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Luke Milstone's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Less counters with an outside leg kick.

Less gets caught flat footed, as Secunda shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Less pushes Secunda off and gets back to his feet.
Less plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Secunda takes a swing at Less's ribcage but misses.
Secunda closes the distance looking to clinch
and Less connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Less lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Secunda shoots in and drives through. Less sprawls well.
Less throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fernandez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Miller is just riding it out for now. Fernandez eventually gives up the hold.
Miller is trying to get back to full guard.
Fernandez is taking a breather. Miller says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Miller pushes Fernandez off but Fernandez dives into side control.
Miller is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Fernandez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Miller defends it well.
Fernandez tries to pass to full mount but Miller defends it.
Miller tries to kick Fernandez off but Fernandez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Miller looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Fernandez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Miller with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
