Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Newton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Victor Eloo! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newton keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Eloo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Newton sprawls well. Newton wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Eloo gets slowly back to his feet. Newton misses with a few strikes there.
Eloo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Newton, pushing him back against the ropes. Eloo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Eloo shoots for a takedown but Newton saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Eloo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Newton tries to avoid it but Eloo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Newton to the ground. Newton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ben Newton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Eloo. Newton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Newton swats away the attempt to clinch by Eloo. Newton comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Eloo shoots for a double leg takedown but Newton sprawls well. He's pushed Eloo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Eloo is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Newton. Newton scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Eloo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Newton sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Eloo somewhat. Newton stuffs the takedown. Victor Eloo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Newton displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Newton scores with a jab. Newton fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Newton scores with a shot to the body.
Eloo takes a shot right to the bread basket. Newton fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Eloo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Newton scores with a hook to the body. Eloo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Newton digs a good hook to Eloo's body.
Newton moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Eloo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Newton lands with a nice body punch. Newton throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Eloo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Newton scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Newton scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Eloo is trying desperately to land a takedown but Newton is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Eloo. Newton lands a right hook to the body.

Eloo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Newton fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Newton ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Newton lands a jab. Newton ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Nice body punch from Newton. Newton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Eloo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Newton lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Eloo circles away quickly and effectively. Eloo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Eloo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Newton has his feet on Eloo's thighs here. He's pushed Eloo off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Eloo screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bonnar looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Bonnar is in close to Jones's body, working some short punches and elbows. Jones throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bonnar uses it to pass to side control.
Bonnar tries for a kimura but Jones is defending well. Jones is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Bonnar working the head with strikes.

Bonnar postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Bonnar trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Bonnar with a nice head shot there. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bonnar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones is looking to reverse the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bonnar scoring with punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bonnar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bonnar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bonnar distracts Jones with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Jones isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bonnar stacks Jones on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bonnar!

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bonnar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Bonnar passes into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Stephan Bonnar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bonnar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Manos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Clarke swats him away and circles back towards the center. Manos slips a jab from Clarke. Clarke is looking to chop away at Manos's legs.

Manos wants to clinch up but Clarke keeps it at a distance. Manos fails with the takedown. Manos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ross Clarke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thaddeus Manos. Clarke drops Manos with a naaaaasty hook - Manos is in real trouble here! Clarke dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

No luck for Sandiego with that takedown attempt. Sandiego shoots in looking for a takedown. Fitzgerald tries to sprawl out of it but Sandiego keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Fitzgerald manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Fitzgerald drops Sandiego with a beautiful combination! Sandiego stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Fitzgerald is looking for the KO! Fitzgerald leaves Sandiego with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Fitzgerald sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sandiego fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fitzgerald avoids it really well and circles away. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Davis misses the jab. Wilson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Rick Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wilson tries to clinch but Davis moves out of range. Wilson fails with the takedown. Davis lands a glancing blow to the side of Wilson's head. Wilson walks into a stiff left hand from Davis. Davis misses with a two punch combination.
