1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyrel Manix! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gon DIas tries for a takedown but Manix sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Manix looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Manix moves out of range of the strikes. A punch combination from Gon DIas misses. Gon DIas fails with a takedown attempt. Manix takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Gon DIas fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raf Gon DIas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gon DIas shoots in looking for a takedown. Manix tries to sprawl out of it but Gon DIas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Manix manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Manix keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Gon DIas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Manix moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gon DIas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Manix pinned against the cage. Manix gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Raf Gon DIas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Manix circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gon DIas slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Gon DIas wanted to stand there but Manix had control of the position. Gon DIas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Manix swivels though and keeps the full guard.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gon DIas shoots for a takedown but Manix saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Tyrel Manix comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Manix has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McStromenson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Otunga throws out the jab. McStromenson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! McStromenson is looking to land body kicks. Otunga throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McStromenson throws a half hearted mid kick. Otunga keeps the fight on the outside. Otunga lands a jab-cross combination. Otunga moves into the clinch. McStromenson can't break the clinch.
Otunga is trying to trip McStromenson. He has hold of a leg but McStromenson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Otunga persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Otunga lands a couple of digs. Otunga has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Otunga postures up in McStromenson's guard and throws a big left but McStromenson blocks it. Otunga makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Otunga scoring with punches to the head and body. Otunga is looking to work some ground and pound but McStromenson has wrist control. Otunga controls from within his opponent's guard. Otunga cracks McStromenson with a solid left hand.

Otunga throwing shots but McStromenson is blocking nicely. Ground and pound from Otunga. McStromenson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Otunga looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McStromenson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. McStromenson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Otunga. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Otunga working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Otunga throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Otunga uses his free foot to push down on McStromenson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for McStromenson. Otunga connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McStromenson can do anything to dispel that myth. Otunga cracks McStromenson with a big right hand but McStromenson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Payne ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Tyler! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Payne swats him away and circles back towards the center. No joy there for Payne , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Payne has closed the distance and engaged Tyler in a clinch.
Payne is stalling here.
Tyler is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Payne jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tyler walks away with a smile on his face. Payne gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Payne tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Payne fails with the takedown. Tyler doesn't succeed with the takedown and Payne counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Payne . Payne trying to control the position from guard on top but Tyler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Payne slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Tyler. Payne looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Payne passes the guard and advances to mount! Payne in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Payne sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Payne content just to control the position here. Payne goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Tyler turns into him and now he's in Payne 's guard.
Payne really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tyler won't allow Payne to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Payne seems keen to control Tyler's posture. Tyler trying to control the position from guard on top but Payne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Payne looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Tyler wants to control from the top but Payne keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Payne is looking to stand up but Tyler isn't so interested in that idea. Tyler won't allow Payne to sweep him here. Payne is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Payne gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Tyler counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Payne . That's going to take a lot out of him. Payne is breathing heavily. Payne keeping moving, preventing Tyler from controlling successfully. Payne is trying to keep Tyler in close.

Payne wants to improve his position but instead Tyler has moved into half guard.
Payne has one foot on Tyler's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Payne is staying active underneath Tyler, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Payne wants to control but Tyler passes into side.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tyler has control of an arm but Payne manages to advance to Tyler's back! Tyler manages to scramble and ends up in full guard, under a barage of strikes . Great composure from Tyler. Payne trying to control the position from guard on top but Tyler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tyler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Payne defends well. Payne wants to pass the guard but Tyler is keeping the position. Payne wants to get up but he can't break Tyler's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Payne trying to control the position from guard on top but Tyler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tyler working for submissions but it's allowed Payne to get to half guard.
Payne stalling. Jake Tyler has got the better of the ground game so far. Payne trying to control the action but Tyler is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Payne is pressing down on Tyler's thigh, looking to free his foot. Tyler is holding on for now. Payne moves nicely into side control. Tyler can't do much from the bottom here. Payne stands up. Payne has Tyler up against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyler tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Payne avoids it. A right hook to the body lands for Payne .
Payne pulls guard. Tyler is fighting to break Payne 's control of his arms but Payne is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Payne manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Payne stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ryan Payne will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Payne closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Payne taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Payne creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Payne goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tyler prevents it.
Payne wants the takedown. Tyler is fighting it off but Payne persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tyler's guard against the cage. Payne wants to pass the guard but Tyler is keeping the position. Tyler preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Payne sitting in guard, not really doing much. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Payne passes Tyler's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyler actively working from the bottom here. Tyler looking for submissions off his back. Payne seems to be looking for submissions.
Payne slows the pace down in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Payne seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Tyler is in trouble now - Payne has advanced to mount! Payne tries to control but Tyler wriggling away. Payne takes Tyler's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. I would not like to be Tyler right now.
Jake Tyler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Payne has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Payne scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Tyler is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Payne .
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ryan Payne just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Payne fails with the takedown and Tyler counters by clinching up. Tyler blocks the elbow strike.
Tyler fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tyler misses with an elbow strike.

Payne pulls guard successfully.
Ryan Payne is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Tyler avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Ryan Payne showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Payne , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
