The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mamumbo shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mamumbo feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Mamumbo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mamumbo stands up from guard. Let's bang! Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jones tries to clinch there but Mamumbo circles away.
Mamumbo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jones looks to land a body kick but Mamumbo moved away. Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Mamumbo, before circling back to the center of the mat. Robert Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elion Mamumbo. The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Mamumbo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Mamumbo throws and elbow that misses. Jones uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mamumbo's guard. Nice move by Jones! Mamumbo looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jones throws a head kick that misses. Jones is looking to clinch but Mamumbo is avoiding it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mamumbo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thomas thows a left - swing and a miss! Thomas cracks Irons on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Irons falls backwards against the cage. Thomas follows up with more strikes that drop Irons to his knees. Thomas keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Irons! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baker throws a right hand that Phonics ducks under and follows up with a left that Phonics also avoids with ease. Baker lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Del Phonics has been cut. Baker scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Baker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Baker wants it to stay on the feet. Baker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Phonics. Baker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Phonics throws a combination that misses and Baker counters with a thumping low kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Phonics dodges the punch combination from Baker.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Baker has cracked Phonics with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Baker lands another huge swinging hook and Phonics tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Phonics, before Baker can land any more shots!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice straight punches there by MMA. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of MMA. MMA lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hardgrave avoids a lazy jab quite easily. MMA throws a nice looking combination but Hardgrave bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hardgrave blocks a jab. Hardgrave misses with an uppercut. MMA scores with a sloppy right hand. Hardgrave should have avoided that one. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from MMA lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hardgrave has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hardgrave and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. MMA swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hardgrave fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. MMA sprawls well initially but Hardgrave persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Hardgrave working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hardgrave not landing any meaningful shots this time. MMA is trying to stand up here but Hardgrave is controlling him well. MMA tries to roll over but Hardgrave keeps him under control. Hardgrave has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wazowski can do anything to dispel that myth. Dryupp content just to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wazowski wants to hold on but Dryupp pushes him away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bear is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bear hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Tazki takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Iverson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Iverson controlling the position easily from mount. Tazki wants to control but Iverson is having none of it. Tazki is looking to get to half guard. Iverson lands a nice shot to the head. Tazki is in all sorts of trouble here.
