1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roid Jones! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Herring tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch. Herring's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Herring scores with a jab to the jaw. Jones wants to clinch. Jones fails with a takedown attempt. Herring scores with a hook. Herring jabs Jones right on the nose. Jones blinks but takes it well. Herring's corner calls for a 1-2. Herring obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Herring misses the shot to the body. Herring leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Herring throws a right and a left that both miss. Herring avoids a kick to the body.
Herring connects with a body shot. Herring circles away from the clinch attempt.
Herring jabs at Jones's body. Herring shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Herring keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Herring paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Herring jabs at Jones's body. Herring scores a takedown into full mount! Herring misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Herring really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jones wants to hold on but Herring pushes him away. A nice elbow there by Herring. Herring looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Herring sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth. Herring is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jones can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Herring cracks Jones with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Herring with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Herring landing punches. Herring lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Herring scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Jones?
Jones is rocked! Herring wants to control the pace but Jones is squirming around nicely. Herring has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Herring is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jones can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Herring landing strikes, looking to finish! Jones is still in real trouble! Can Herring finish him? Herring lands with some strikes. Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Herring. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jones is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Jones seems to have recovered his senses. Jones blocking the ground and pound. Herring will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Herring landing strikes, looking to finish! Jones in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Herring lands a big elbow. Herring lands with some strikes. Herring looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jones takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Herring dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jones gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Herring counters with a left and a right that stings Jones. Herring scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jones in his tracks. Decent striking displayed by Herring there. Nice body punch from Herring. Jones tries to clinch but Herring is having none of it. A head kick misses from Jones. Herring lands a body shot.

Herring punishes Jones's body with a nice straight punch. Jones is breathing heavily. Jones moves forwards but Herring connects with a nice, crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Herring looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Herring persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing. Jones doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Herring shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Herring. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones takes one on the button. Herring scores with a nice strike. Jones tries to clinch but fails miserably and Herring counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jones thinking. Herring digs a good body shot into Jones's ribs. Herring jabs Jones right on the nose. Jones blinks but takes it well. Herring scores with a decent looking hook. Herring scores with a one two! Jones had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Herring throws a series of strikes that have Jones backpedaling.
Herring is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. This has been an exciting period of action! Herring lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Jones can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Herring and Jones drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Herring.

Bray seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Wright is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rocker shoots in for a takedown but Shea shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Shea tries a head kick but it misses.
Rocker looks to throw the jab but Shea is out of range. Rocker dives in and grabs Shea's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shea pushes down on Rocker's head and hops out. Shea tries to close the distance and clinch but Rocker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Shea takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A right-left combo lands from Rocker.
It looks like Alex Shea has been cut. Shea moves in looking to clinch but Rocker pushes him off. Rocker works the jab nicely. Alvin Rocker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Crunch! Shea slams his shin into Rocker's torso. Rocker throws a series of punches but Shea moves out of range. Shea tries to clinch but Rocker is having none of it. Shea keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Rocker clinches up with Shea and pushes him back against the cage. Shea breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Shea steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rocker. Shea has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Shea avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The referee is keeping an eye on Rocker - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rocker has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Shea avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Shea using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Rocker has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Rocker gets through Shea's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Rocker is struggling to control the position. A nice glancing elbow lands by Shea. Rocker wants a takedown but no success here.
Rocker is trying to break the clinch but Shea has him pressed against the cage. Shea looking to throw knees to the head but Rocker is blocking nicely.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rocker creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Rocker has a couple of punches blocked by Shea.
Rocker is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Shea is keeping busy. Rocker has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Shea is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Rocker tries to throw a body punch but Shea avoids it by throwing Rocker back against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rocker lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Shea or not. Knees to the body from Shea.

Shea pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Alvin Rocker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Shea throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rocker gets the takedown into side control. The referee asks Rocker politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rocker prefers to stall for the moment though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rocker trying to control the action but Shea is working from the bottom. Rocker takes a little break here. Shea wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rocker throws an elbow but Shea slips to the side and avoids it well. Rocker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Shea, who protects the arm well. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. A big mistake from Rocker there, giving up the dominant position! Shea is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Rocker has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Shea is looking to defend but Rocker has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Shea! Rocker pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Shea taps out and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kringle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gavin tries to avoid it but Kringle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gavin to the ground. Gavin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kringle fails to land the takedown. Kringle fails with the takedown. Tom Gavin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kris Kringle. Kringle swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kringle gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gavin to score an easy takedown into full guard. Gavin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Gavin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vasher instigates a clinch. Vasher lands a hook to the side of the head. Vasher gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Gray fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Vasher lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Gray or not. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gray. A short uppercut from Vasher. Vasher effectively controlling the action here. Vasher lands a good knee to the midsection. Gray won't want to take too many of those. Vasher is stalling here.
Gray's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Vasher cracks a nice hook into Gray's ribs. Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! fu goes limp - he's gone! Moss jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
