I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Sousa tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sousa landing shots from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lau has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sousa is proving hard to escape from. Lau wants to stand and escape but instead Sousa has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Sousa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lau avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lau utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lau being controlled here, momentarily. Sousa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lau is trying to keep Sousa in close.

Sousa tries to circle away but Lau has him pinned against the cage. Lau breaks from the clinch.
