The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ortiz attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Ortiz scores with a kick to the body.
Frankie connects with a body shot. Ortiz turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Frankie keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ortiz. Ortiz swings for the body but Frankie moves out of range.
Ortiz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ortiz takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Frankie tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Frankie misses the shot to the body. Frankie is looking to chop away at Ortiz's legs. Ortiz tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Ortiz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Frankie throws an overhand right that lands on Ortiz's shoulder, as Ortiz tries to avoid the shot. Frankie misses with a wild body shot. Nice takedown defense from Frankie. No joy for Ortiz on that attempt. Ortiz misses with a series of wild punches.

Ortiz misses with a hook. Frankie ducked under it nicely. Ortiz dips to his left and cracks Frankie with an uppercut! Frankie scores with a punch to the head. Frankie throws out a loose jab but Ortiz uses good head movement to avoid it. Frankie connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Ortiz tries to clinch but fails miserably and Frankie counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Frankie lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Ortiz pivots, looking for a leg kick but Frankie is out of range and Ortiz settles back down. Ortiz thows a left - swing and a miss! Ortiz connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Ortiz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Ortiz is rocked! Frankie throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ortiz sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ortiz is still on wobbly legs! Can Frankie finish him?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Frankie grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Ortiz takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Frankie cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kincaid tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kincaid stuffs the takedown attempt from Connor. Connor gets slowly back to his feet. Connor throws a sloppy head kick and Kincaid moves out of range easily. John Connor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kincaid doesn't manage to clinch there - Connor circles away.
Kincaid defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Connor. Kincaid tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A head kick by Connor misses and Kincaid counters by moving into the clinch. A nice glancing elbow lands by Kincaid. Connor wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kincaid trying to stall but Connor improves his position.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kincaid walks away with a smile on his face. Connor gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Vance Kincaid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Connor. Kincaid circles away from the clinch attempt.

Connor tries to break free but Kincaid pushes him back against the cage. Kincaid keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Connor's efforts to push away. Kincaid tries to land knees in the clinch but Connor avoids the damage to the body. Kincaid tries for a takedown. No joy.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Connor's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kincaid clinches but Connor breaks the clinch and Connor holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Kincaid is looking to break free of the clinch but Connor has double underhooks. Kincaid pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Kincaid breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kincaid looks to clinch and Connor counters with a big head kick but Kincaid shrugs it off. Kincaid darts in trying to clinch and Connor counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Connor breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kincaid tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Connor counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kincaid won't be happy with that. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Connor tries to score with some ground and pound. Kincaid controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Connor misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Connor looks gassed! You can see the frustration on Kincaid's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Connor taking a breather here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Connor throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Well, if Connor is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Connor tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kincaid knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Kincaid trying to control here.

ROBLES looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! ROBLES keeping moving, preventing Trinidad from controlling successfully. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDonald drops filipovic with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but filipovic looks back up at him and smiles so McDonald waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
filipovic throws a right and a left that both miss. McDonald connects with a stiff jab that staggers filipovic - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nate McDonald!

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jobo Scott! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, KING KONG! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by KONG or perhaps it was just good defense by Scott which made him look bad. KONG shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Scott as he jumps to the side. Scott scores with a nice head shot. Scott connects with a nice looking jab.
Scott misses with a double jab.
Scott lands with a shot to the body. Scott will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Scott misses with a series of wild punches.
KONG moves in looking to clinch but Scott pushes him off. Scott rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but KONG moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Scott lands with an overhand left. Scott lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as KONG backs up against the cage.
Scott moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. KONG looks for a takedown but Scott sprawls well. Jobo Scott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of KING KONG. Scott throws a combination. KONG tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott lands a nice hook to KONG's body. KONG takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. No luck for KONG with that takedown attempt. Scott scores with a shot to the body.
KONG fails miserably with a takedown attempt. KONG looks gassed! Scott scores with a body shot.
KONG throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Scott's waist but Scott gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing KONG off to one side. KONG has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Scott displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Scott lands a nice shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Scott lands a two punch combo.
Scott stalks KONG and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into KONG's face. KONG staggers backwards, shaken. Scott swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Scott lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but KONG circles away quickly and effectively. Scott is working the combinations to good effect here. Scott scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scott misses with a series of wild punches.
Scott stalks KONG and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into KONG's face. KONG staggers backwards, shaken. Scott throws a right and a left that KONG avoids nicely. KONG has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Jobo Scott is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. KONG wants to clinch. Scott lands a slapping body shot.
Scott lands with a nice combination. KONG backs away looking to recover. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - KONG has eaten all the pies! KONG is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Scott. Scott drops KONG with a beautiful combination! KONG stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Scott is looking for the KO!
KONG is rocked! Scott dips down and scores with a jab to the body. KONG is still on wobbly legs! Can Scott finish him? Scott scores with a one two! KONG had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. KONG takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
KONG seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Scott shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! KONG is backing up but Scott catches him with a final right hook that drops him! KONG covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Scott Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jobo Scott! Jobo Scott retains his lightweight title!
