Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Takeda Sokaku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mateus Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sokaku might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to She's Like the Wind. Mateus Santiago is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

I think Cortez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Knock him out. The crowd seem to be enjoying Walburn's choice of entrance music: Flirting with Disaster. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walburn avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Cortez throws a head kick that misses. Cortez moves out of range of the leg kick from Walburn. Cortez fails with a takedown attempt. Walburn looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Walburn wants to clinch. Cortez throws a right hand that Walburn ducks under and follows up with a left that Walburn also avoids with ease. Cortez swinging wilding here.
Walburn closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Cortez wants to break the clinch but can't.

Cromwell is looking to take a break and control but Kloss is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cromwell scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kloss to see if he's OK.

Despite being in the dominant position, Linus Cromwell just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kloss tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Cromwell counters with a takedown into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cromwell is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kloss will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Cromwell creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kloss is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Cromwell off and has taken his back! Kloss has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Cromwell has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Brown fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Frazier is out of range. Marvin Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A nice inside leg kick there by Brown. That's going to slow Frazier down. Frazier is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Frazier shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brown sprawls well. Brown wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Frazier gets slowly back to his feet. Frazier shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brown but Brown pushes him off and we're back to square one. Brown connects with a stiff jab that staggers Frazier - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Horrible takedown by Toscano or perhaps it was just good defense by De Guzman which made him look bad. Good leg kick by Toscano there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

De Guzman with a body punch. A glancing blow. Toscano shoots in for a double leg but De Guzman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. De Guzman fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. De Guzman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Toscano manages to avoid it. De Guzman moves out of range of the body kick. Toscano throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around De Guzman's waist but De Guzman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Toscano off to one side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Basso Toscano will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Toscano is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by De Guzman. Toscano tries to clinch up but De Guzman circles away and keeps his distance. De Guzman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Toscano was well out of range. Poor timing from De Guzman. Toscano lands a head kick!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Toscano shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Toscano seems to be looking for submissions.
De Guzman is trying to stand up here but Toscano is controlling him well. De Guzman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Toscano on the ground. Toscano seems to be looking for submissions.

He shot from a bit too far out. Mikhael Yuri De Guzman is winning the standup battle so far. Toscano closes the distance and clinches up with De Guzman, looking for a takedown. Toscano pushes De Guzman against the cage but De Guzman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. De Guzman jabs at Toscano's body. De Guzman misses with a body shot.
