The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Okami misses with the combination.
Strauss throws a jab but it's blocked by Okami. Strauss tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A head kick misses from Okami. No joy there for Strauss, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's better than Aoki was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Cheung Pak stops Aoki from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Aoki goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Cheung Pak turns into him and now he's in Aoki's guard.

Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Aoki arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ono throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Ono looks to land a combination but Voki avoids it well. Ono with a nice cross. Ono punishes Voki's body with a nice straight punch. Excellent takedown into side control there by Ono. Voki manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Voki wants to work for an arm triangle but Ono is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Voki is pressing down on Ono's thigh, looking to free his foot. Voki tries for a takedown but Ono circles away easily and Ono makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Voki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ono looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Voki looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ono knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Voki on the ground. Voki is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Ono bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Voki's guard. Voki wants to sweep but no luck.

Putkinen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Horrible takedown by Nesto or perhaps it was just good defense by Putkinen which made him look bad. Nesto fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nesto throws a body kick that misses. Nesto misses with a hook. Nesto misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luka Nesto. That's going to take a lot out of him. Putkinen waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Nesto. Nesto fails with a takedown attempt. Nesto is breathing heavily. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Imanari scores a takedown into full mount! Huima is squirming around, avoiding Imanari's attempts to control the action. Huima tries to get back to half guard but can't. Imanari is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Huima can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
