The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Jones.
Jones tries to clinch up but Mac circles away and keeps his distance.
Brian Mac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mac fails with a takedown attempt.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jones, as that shot connected.
Jones fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jones scores with a jab to the body.

Mac closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mac lands in his opponent's guard.
Mac is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

McCormick takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Daniels with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Daniels ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A chopping leg kick lands by Daniels.
Daniels lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
McCormick looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Daniels connects with a high kick.

It looks like Matthew McCormick has been cut.

Daniels lands a big head kick that sends McCormick tumbling to the mat! Daniels takes a step backwards and waves McCormick back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Kerr looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pajis is fending him off so far but Kerr persists. Nope, Pajis circles away and we're back to standing.
Pajis blocks a head kick by Kerr.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kerr is defended easily by Pajis.

Kerr closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kerr controls the position.
Pajis is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kerr has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Kerr lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Kerr grinds an elbow into Pajis's temple.

Pajis is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kerr is controlling him well.

That was a close second round but I would say that JJ Pajis will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Kerr rushes Pajis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kerr avoids a wild elbow strike from Pajis.
Pajis is trying to maintain a safe position but Kerr gets an underhook and turns Pajis into the cage.
Pajis misses with an elbow over the top.
Pajis throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kerr blocks it with crossed arms.
Pajis trying to control the position but instead, Kerr has worked for underhooks and has pushed Pajis into the cage.
Pajis manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Kerr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pajis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kerr avoids it really well and circles away.

Kerr shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kerr showed some decent athleticism there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kerr is trying to control. Pajis wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Lee Kerr has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kerr is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Kerr seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pajis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kerr with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Kerr working over Pajis with some ground and pound. Pajis looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Kerr seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Kerr wants to pass the guard but Pajis is defending well.

Kerr wants to work for an arm triangle but Pajis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kerr is stalling here. Pajis is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kerr seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Pajis has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Kerr gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
