 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bates will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bates throws the left hand but Mcpeeny avoids the punch easily. Mcpeeny dives in and grabs Bates's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bates pushes down on Mcpeeny's head and hops out. Bates waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mcpeeny. Mcpeeny closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bates circles away. Mcpeeny misses the jab. Mcpeeny moves out of range as Bates strikes. Mcpeeny tries to close the distance and clinch but Bates swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.  The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mcpeeny tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Bates paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Akira Maeda will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Faglio can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as James controls the pace.  That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mane scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Mane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Weissmueller swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mane is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Weissmueller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Weissmueller is breathing heavily. Mane tries to free his leg and advance position but Weissmueller is retaining full guard.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Weissmueller is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mane off and has taken his back! I really don't envy Mane right now.
Mane tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Mane tries to hold on but Weissmueller pushes him away. Weissmueller trying to control but Mane is having none of it. Mane holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Weissmueller tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Weissmueller prevents Mane from getting the reversal. Mane tries to hold on but Weissmueller pushes him away. Mane is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Mane is desperately trying to improve his position but Weissmueller has a good base and remains in mount. Weissmueller can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mane is looking to escape.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Weissmueller is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mane is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Mane keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

 It looks like Gucci Mane has been cut. Weissmueller raining down shots from the mount!
 That has opened up Gucci Mane's cut even more. Weissmueller misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Weissmueller wants to control the pace but Mane is squirming around nicely. Weissmueller throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Mane wants to hold on but Weissmueller pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Gucci Mane will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Gucci Mane's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Weissmueller tests Mane's chin there with a solid looking shot. Mane closes the distance and clinches up with Weissmueller, looking for a takedown. Mane pushes Weissmueller against the ropes but Weissmueller circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Weissmueller lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
 The cut above Gucci Mane's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Mane fails with a takedown attempt. Nice body punch from Weissmueller. A slapping leg kick lands for Weissmueller.
Mane on the wrong end of a nice hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Weissmueller connects with a body shot.
Weissmueller throws a left that rocks Mane and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Weissmueller dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Mane regain composure!
 Gucci Mane's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Gucci Mane's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
