The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greco takes one on the button.
Greco tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ramos swivels and escapes.

Ramos tries to kick Greco off but Greco keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Ramos is holding on to half guard well.
Greco throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Greco wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ramos keeps working.

Ramos shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Ramos thows a body shot but no joy.

and Ramos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Greco moves in looking to clinch but Ramos pushes him off.

Ramos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Greco moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ramos fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Greco checks it well.
Ramos moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Ramos uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Greco has time to react.

Ramos throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Victor Ramos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Greco tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ramos swivels and escapes.
Victor Ramos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pete Greco.
Ramos pivots, looking for a leg kick but Greco is out of range and Ramos settles back down.

so Greco counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

No joy there for Ramos, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Ramos counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ramos pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ramos throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Greco uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ramos.

Greco wants to control from the top but Ramos keeps moving.

Ramos being controlled here, momentarily.
Greco postures up in Ramos's guard and throws a big left but Ramos blocks it.

Greco postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ramos is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Greco, into his guard.

Ramos has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Greco to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ramos is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Greco pulls down on the head and he's put Ramos to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Pete Greco! Pete Greco retains his welterweight title!
