The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Navarro shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Frey defends it nicely. Frey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Frey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Navarro swivels though and keeps the full guard. Frey trying to control the position from guard on top but Navarro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Frey looking to pass the guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Frey lands a nice short elbow. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Frey wants to pass to mount but Navarro is defending the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frey is looking to take a break and control but Navarro is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Frey goes for an armbar! This could be all over! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valadez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Valadez tries to clinch but Miller moves out of range. Miller will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Miller gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Valadez is looking to work some ground and pound but Miller has wrist control. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Miller is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Miller has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Valadez stands up and waves to Miller to follow him. Steve Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Valadez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Valadez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Miller swivels and escapes. Miller closes the distance but Valadez moves to the side and Valadez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Miller won't be happy with that. Miller is looking for a sweep. Miller throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Miller throws Valadez to one side and escapes! Miller scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Miller connects with a jab. Miller displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Miller wants to clinch up but Valadez keeps it at a distance. Miller throws a right and a left that Valadez avoids nicely. Miller clinches but Valadez breaks the clinch and Valadez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valadez trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom. Miller bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Valadez's guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Miller scoring with some ground and pound. Valadez preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Miller trying to control but Valadez is working from the bottom. Miller throws a big right hand that misses. Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but Valadez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Miller wanted to stand there but Valadez had control of the position. Valadez keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Valadez lands a good elbow from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Miller leaves Valadez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Valadez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miller looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Valadez feints and as Miller raises his hands in defense, Valadez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Valadez tries to stand but Miller is controlling from the bottom. Miller pushes Valadez off and scrambles back to his feet.
Valadez is looking to slow Miller down with leg kicks. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A nice combination there by Miller.

That was a close round but I would say that David Valadez will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Valadez takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Valadez wants to clinch up but Miller keeps it at a distance. Miller lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Miller sprawls well initially but Valadez persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Miller is staying active underneath Valadez, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Valadez is thwarting Miller's attempts to control the position. Miller wants to get back to his feet. Valadez sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Miller defending well though. David Valadez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The fighters are battling for position here. Miller manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Valadez prevents Miller from getting the reversal. Valadez lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Miller hang on? Valadez cracks Miller with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Valadez lands a big shot there that rocks Miller but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Smith was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Smith jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Meridio is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Meridio and Smith has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Big Dog shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily. Silva throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brock Lesnar! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Brice is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lesnar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Brice drops Lesnar with a beautiful combination! Lesnar stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Brice is looking for the KO!
Lesnar is rocked!
It looks like Brock Lesnar has been cut. Lesnar throws a head kick but Brice moves out of range.
Lesnar is still on wobbly legs! Can Brice finish him? Lesnar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brice's waist but Brice gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lesnar off to one side. Lesnar seems to have recovered his senses. Brice throws a nice looking combination but Lesnar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Brice throws a right and a left that Lesnar avoids nicely. Lesnar goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Lesnar fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lesnar shoots for a takedown but Brice saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. WeeBey Brice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Lesnar. Brice fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brice throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Lesnar stumbling backwards into the ropes! Lesnar bounces back off the ropes towards Brice, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Brice lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Brice celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
