The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evil fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Schilt manages to avoid it.
Schilt avoids the body shot from Evil.

Schilt scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Evil tries to clinch but Schilt is having none of it.
Evil throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Schilt lands with an uppercut that bounces Evil off the cage and back into rage.

Evil tries to score a power double leg takedown but Schilt sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Evil somewhat.

and Schilt counters with a good low kick that Evil was not able to check.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Evil. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Schilt lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Evil circles away quickly and effectively.

Evil will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Evil ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Schilt moves away.
Schilt lands a jab to Evil's midsection.

Schilt lands with a kick to the temple. Evil shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Schilt throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Evil takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Schilt lands with a nice combination. Evil backs away looking to recover.
Evil walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

and Schilt counters with a one-two to the body.

Schilt delivers a nice body kick.
Schilt lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Evil backs up against the cage.

Schilt lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Schilt goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Evil shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Schilt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Schilt thows a body kick. Evil tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Schilt moves into the clinch.

Schilt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Evil tries to clinch but Schilt moves away

and Schilt counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Schilt.

Schilt prevents the takedown attempt.

Schilt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A punch combination from Schilt misses.
Evil scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Schilt throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Evil.
Schilt is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Evil had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Evil swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Evil tries to clinch but Schilt moves away
and Evil takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Schilt counters with a takedown into side control.
Schilt in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Evil tries to improve position but can't.
Schilt tries to move into full mount but can't pass Evil's legs.

Schilt thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Evil manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
