The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shirley plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Lay Praynard has been cut. Shirley turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. No joy there for Shirley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shirley scores with a jab. Shirley throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Praynard takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Praynard shoots in for a takedown but Shirley shows good takedown defense. Shirley lands a jab-cross combination. Praynard is breathing heavily. Shirley lands a nice shot to the body.

LaVern Shirley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Praynard takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Shirley lands a big head kick that sends Praynard tumbling to the mat! Shirley takes a step backwards and waves Praynard back to his feet - he wants the finish! Shirley lands a left and a right that send Praynard crashing to the mat, dazed. Shirley thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Shirley throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shirley connects with a body shot. Lay Praynard's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Shirley lands with a big left! Praynard is wobbled badly! Shirley comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Praynard to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Norgaard gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. vance looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Norgaard lands a left and a right that send vance crashing to the mat, dazed. Norgaard thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like lorgan vance has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Norgaard lands a body shot.

vance takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Norgaard throws an absolute beast of a head kick! vance is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Serracino gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Serracino darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Serracino looks gassed! Wapner is looking for a sweep. Serracino is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Serracino trying to mount his opponent but Wapner defends it. Serracino missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Serracino trying to pass the guard but Wapner defending well. Wapner wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wapner has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Serracino is working away from the top position though. Serracino is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wapner doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Serracino. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wapner keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Serracino avoids a low kick by using good footwork. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Wapner pushes off an throws an elbow but Serracino leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Serracino changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wapner fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Wapner darts in trying to clinch and Serracino counters with a single leg into guard. Wapner didn't expect that. Wapner pulls Serracino in close to his closed guard and prevents Serracino from doing any damage or advancing position. Serracino is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wapner is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wapner has escaped and now he's on top! Serracino is trying to control the position but Wapner postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Macario Serracino. I think Serracino has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Nope, Grepplund circles away and we're back to standing. Monsson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Monsson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Grepplund. Monsson wants to sweep here but Grepplund controlling him for the moment. Grepplund has gone for a leg lock! Monsson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Grepplund's guard. Monsson works a leg free and moves into half guard. Monsson stands up from half guard. Grepplund shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Monsson as he avoids it easily. Grepplund fails with the takedown and Monsson counters with a left to the body. Monsson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! No luck for Monsson with that takedown attempt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Monsson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Grepplund's head. Grepplund fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Monsson manages to avoid it. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Monsson, as that shot connected.
Grepplund is rocked! Grepplund looks for a takedown but Monsson sprawls well. Sebastian Monsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Korto Grepplund. Grepplund looks gassed!

Monsson tries to score a body lock takedown but Grepplund shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Monsson wants the takedown. Grepplund is fighting it off but Monsson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Grepplund's guard against the cage. Monsson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Grepplund has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bundy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Connely sprawls well. Connely wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bundy gets slowly back to his feet. A big left from Connely misses. Horrible takedown by Bundy or perhaps it was just good defense by Connely which made him look bad. Connely scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Bundy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Connely looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Connely prevents Bundy from improving position. Bundy trying to control the action but Connely is working from the bottom. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Charyak misses the target. Charyak shoots for a double leg takedown but Sandoval sprawls well. He's pushed Charyak's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A combination from Charyak does no damage. Sandoval misses with a jab, cross combination.
