0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, ray skillz! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from skillz does no damage. Sherk shoots in for a double leg but skillz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. skillz fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. skillz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sherk. Sherk shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches skillz napping and manages to drive through into side control! Sherk fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Sherk looks up at the clock and then as skillz takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Sherk smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
skillz wants to get back to his feet but Sherk drags him back down. Sherk has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. skillz taking punishment in the form of punches.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pillay throws a body punch but Tyler moves out of range. Pillay forces Tyler back against the cage and clinches. Pillay doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Samson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Silva is proving hard to escape from. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Silva is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Silva looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's one minute gone in the round. Samson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Samson wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Samson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Silva wants to get back to his feet but Samson drags him back down. Samson decides to stand back up. A big left from Silva misses. Samson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Samson throws a hook but Silva blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Samson throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
Samson throws a lazy head kick and Silva counters with a body kick. Samson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Silva to counter with a crisp jab. Silva fails with a takedown attempt. Samson takes a swing at Silva's ribcage but misses. Samson moves out of range of the body kick from Silva.
Silva shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Samson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Samson is trying to control Silva's posture but Silva avoids it. Samson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva decides to stand back up. Silva steps back and let's Samson get back to his feet. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Samson. Silva shrugs it off though. Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Samson, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Samson against the cage but Samson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Silva fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Silva shoots in and drives through. Samson sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quinton Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Samson throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Samson tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Samson swinging wilding here.
Stevie Ray Samson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Samson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva blocks a head kick by Samson.

Samson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Samson is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Silva rather than just go for the knockout. Samson misses with a kick to the body so Silva counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Silva postures up and lands a big shot to Samson's brow. Silva stopping the sweep attempt from Samson. Samson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that's the end of the fight! Quinton Silva showed his dominance in that final round. I think Samson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marshall Mathers! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mathers with a body punch. A glancing blow. the destoyer is looking to clinch. Nice body kick from Mathers. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from the destoyer lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mathers has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mathers and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Mathers lands a head kick. the destoyer smiles back at him and beckons him forward. the destoyer misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Mathers counters with a solid body kick. Mathers buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
the destoyer tries to clinch up and Mathers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. the destoyer moves out of range of the body kick from Mathers.
Mathers pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mathers looks to land a combination but the destoyer avoids it well. Mathers lands with an uppercut that bounces the destoyer off the cage and back into rage. Mathers dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on the destoyer. That did some damage! the destoyer fails in his attempt to clinch. Mathers lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Mathers connects with a crisp jab. the destoyer swinging wilding here.
The fight stays on the outside here - the destoyer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mathers wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. This has been an exciting period of action! the destoyer throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A chopping leg kick lands by Mathers.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mathers throws a head kick that misses. A slapping leg kick lands for Mathers.
A combination from the destoyer does no damage. Mathers stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Mathers throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
the destoyer wants to clinch but Mathers slips to the side and Mathers counters with a leg kick. the destoyer is breathing heavily. Mathers throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

the destoyer is rocked! the destoyer throws a series of punches but Mathers avoids them all with ease. Mathers lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A chopping leg kick lands by Mathers. the destoyer takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Mathers throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. A kick lands to the mid section there for Mathers. Mathers works over the destoyer's head and body with a nice combination. Oh the destoyer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mathers lands a head kick. the destoyer smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Mathers lands a jab to the nose. Mathers circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! the destoyer drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Mathers follows the destoyer to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ron Huerta. That's going to take a lot out of him. Durant fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Huerta shoots in and drives through. Durant sprawls well. A lazy left from Huerta finds it's target. Durant scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Huerta misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Huerta is breathing heavily. Durant throws a series of punches but Huerta moves out of range. Durant looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Huerta shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Durant pinned against the cage. Durant gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Durant throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Huerta stumbling backwards into the cage! Huerta bounces back off the cage towards Durant, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Durant lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Durant celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
