The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kenobi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. terror tries to avoid it but Kenobi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag terror to the ground. terror escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. terror forces Kenobi back against the cage and clinches. terror lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. terror wants a takedown but no success here.
terror has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kenobi is trying to keep an underhook but terror manages to get the takedown into half guard. Kenobi looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. terror not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. terror is tying to control. Kenobi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kenobi actively working from the bottom here. Kenobi is looking to improve his position.
terror is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kenobi is pressing down on terror's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kenobi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for terror! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. terror tries to hold on but Kenobi postures up. terror has given up his back. Will we see Kenobi going for some submissions?

Kenobi tightening his grip on terror, looking for the choke. terror preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Kenobi. terror is breathing heavily. Kenobi looking for the choke but no joy. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kenobi working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. terror is doing well to defend. Kenobi seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! terror is forced to tap and this one is over!

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Hossa! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hossa moves in looking to clinch but Meadows pushes him off. Hossa fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Meadows with a lazy takedown attempt and Hossa counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Meadows shoots in and bounces Hossa off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Meadows throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hossa works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hossa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Meadows has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Meadows lands a couple of elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Meadows throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Meadows is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Meadows with a flurry of punches that miss. Meadows distracts Hossa with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Hossa looks gassed! Meadows stands up over Hossa, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meadows content to stall in guard here. Meadows content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Meadows postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Meadows throwing strikes from guard but Hossa blocks nicely. Meadows scoring with punches to the head and body. Meadows lands a couple of digs. Meadows trying to control the position from guard on top but Hossa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Meadows throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Meadows working some strikes from top position. Meadows working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Hossa has momentary wrist control but Meadows slips an elbow through the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hossa keeping moving, preventing Meadows from controlling successfully. Hossa lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Meadows! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Meadows throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Hossa breaks from Meadows's wrist control and lands an elbow. Meadows tries to get back to half guard but can't. Meadows tries to hold on but Hossa postures up. Meadows keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Meadows is working hard here to advance position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Meadows throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Meadows is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Hossa has control of Meadows's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Meadows regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hossa throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Hossa lands a big shot there that rocks Meadows but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Meadows is rocked! Hossa working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Meadows turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Hossa off and cradles Meadows's limp body as Hossa celebrates with his corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! GIVENS clinches with his opponent.
Tate tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. GIVENS just stands there and leans against the cage. Tate prevents a takedown attempt there.
GIVENS fails to pull guard.
Tate looking for a takedown. GIVENS tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for XANDER GIVENS. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tate tries to pull guard but GIVENS won't allow it.

GIVENS wants to break free but Tate has control.
GIVENS looking to throw knees to the head but Tate is blocking nicely.
Tate has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but GIVENS regains guard immediately. GIVENS is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tate is controlling him. GIVENS will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Tate tries to free his leg and advance position but GIVENS is retaining full guard. GIVENS bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tate's guard. GIVENS wants to pass the guard but Tate is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. GIVENS stops Tate from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. GIVENS stands and steps away. Tate gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. GIVENS misses with a takedown attempt - Tate sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Tate clinches with his opponent.

Tate shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with GIVENS but GIVENS pushes him off and we're back to square one. GIVENS shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tate as he jumps to the side. Tate tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but GIVENS swivels and escapes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tate fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Tate pushes GIVENS up against the cage in a clinch. Tate tries for a takedown but GIVENS manages to get underhooks.

Tate changes levels and goes for a takedown here. GIVENS fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Tate shoots in but GIVENS avoids the takedown attempt easily. GIVENS fakes the leg kick and cracks Tate in the body. Tate drives through and clinches with GIVENS against the cage.

Tate clinches. This has been an exciting period of action! Tate is trying to work for a single leg takedown but GIVENS pulls him back up using the underhooks. GIVENS prevents the takedown attempt.
Tate works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Tate controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tate has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of GIVENS is proving hard to escape from. Tate wants to control from the top but GIVENS keeps moving. Tate loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Tate forces his way into half guard. Tate performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Tate stands up out of the half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tate tries for a takedown but GIVENS sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Tate fails with a takedown attempt. Tate circles away from the clinch attempt and Tate counters with a nice double leg into guard. Tate stays in close to GIVENS's body and controls the position. Tate trying to control but GIVENS is working from the bottom. Tate looking to pass the guard. Tate wants to stand but GIVENS is controlling his posture from full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tate looking to pass the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Caleb Tate dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
GIVENS keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. GIVENS misses with a takedown attempt and Tate counters with a slapping leg kick. Tate fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with GIVENS, pushing him back against the cage. GIVENS wants to get back to striking at distance but Tate won't allow it.
GIVENS tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Tate breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Tate feints and as GIVENS raises his hands in defense, Tate changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Tate seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Tate looking to sit in guard and control but GIVENS gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. GIVENS trying to control but Tate is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. GIVENS is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. GIVENS trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tate can't keep his opponent in guard - GIVENS advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. GIVENS looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tate is trying to control but GIVENS manages to pass to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Tate tries to reverse the position but GIVENS maintains control. GIVENS scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Tate should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Tate tries to get back to half guard but can't. Tate is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Tate tries to hold on but GIVENS postures up. GIVENS landing strikes from the mount and Tate is in trouble! Tate is trying desperately to improve position. Tate is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! GIVENS has taken his back! GIVENS keeps control of the position easily here as Tate tries to buck him off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Tate has eaten all the pies! Tate defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
GIVENS doesn't have the hooks in and Tate manages to turn into his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. GIVENS wants to sweep here but Tate controlling him for the moment. GIVENS throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Tate stuffs the takedown attempt from GIVENS. GIVENS gets slowly back to his feet. GIVENS shoots for a takedown but Tate saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tate tries to clinch there but GIVENS circles away.

A close second round but Caleb Tate will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
GIVENS shoots in but no luck this time. Tate lands a high kick to the side of GIVENS's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Tate dives into guard, looking to finish.

It looks like XANDER GIVENS has been cut. Tate connects with a couple of short punches. Oh GIVENS is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Tate is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. GIVENS keeping moving, preventing Tate from controlling successfully. GIVENS seems to have got his legs back now. Tate missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Tate with a flurry of punches that miss. Tate lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Tate slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Tate gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. GIVENS closes the distance looking to clinch and Tate counters with a big head kick but GIVENS shrugs it off. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from GIVENS lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tate has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tate and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Tate throws a quick head kick that skims the top of GIVENS's head. Tate with a poor takedown and GIVENS counters by moving into the clinch. Tate breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. GIVENS will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. GIVENS tries to clinch but Tate is having none of it. GIVENS fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for XANDER GIVENS. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tate clinches. Tate manages to break the clinch.

He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. GIVENS tries to get back to half guard but can't. GIVENS sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. GIVENS gets back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. GIVENS is pulling down on Tate's head to control his posture. Tate tries to free his leg and advance position but GIVENS is retaining full guard. GIVENS is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Tate tries to stand but GIVENS is controlling from the bottom. GIVENS tries to land a sweep but no joy. Tate working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of GIVENS's head. Tate pushing down on GIVENS's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Tate is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. GIVENS is looking to control Tate's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can GIVENS avoid being mounted?
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. GIVENS is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. GIVENS makes his way to full guard. A much better position for GIVENS. GIVENS keeping moving, preventing Tate from controlling successfully. Tate postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tate prevents GIVENS from getting back to his feet. GIVENS has his foot on Tate's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tate works his way back into a safe position though. XANDER GIVENS has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tate drops back, looking for a kneebar! GIVENS looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. GIVENS looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from GIVENS!
And that's the end of the fight! Caleb Tate comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Tate has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
