5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ben Pulver! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lunn doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Pulver to counter with a crisp jab. Left hook, right uppercut from Lunn.
It looks like Ben Pulver has been cut. Lunn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lunn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pulver circles away quickly and effectively. Billy Lunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lunn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Pulver to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Billy Lunn has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A nice leg kick lands there from Pulver. Lunn is breathing heavily. Lunn falls off balance throwing a combination
and Pulver counters with a low kick, right behind Lunn 's knee. Pulver throws a low kick but Lunn avoids it. Pulver buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Pulver lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Lunn throws a combination that misses and Pulver counters with a thumping low kick. A nice leg kick lands there from Pulver. Pulver scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pulver connects with a leg kick. Lunn looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. A chopping leg kick lands by Pulver. Pulver sends Lunn crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Pulver is motioning to the referee to let Lunn up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Oh Lunn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lunn avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lunn looks up at the clock. Bad move! Pulver lands a right hand from hell, dropping Lunn. Pulver pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griggs circles away from the clinch attempt.
Griggs jabbing away but nothing is landing. Griggs changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Griggs shoots in looking for a takedown. Sanchez tries to sprawl out of it but Griggs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sanchez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Griggs decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Griggs is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Sanchez is looking for a sweep. Griggs is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Sanchez wants to get back to his feet. Griggs throwing shots but Sanchez is blocking nicely. Sanchez desperately trying to maintain half guard. Griggs is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sanchez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Griggs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griggs moves into full mount! Sanchez won't be happy about that! Sanchez is working to get back to half guard.
Sanchez is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Sanchez is looking to improve his position but Griggs isn't that keen on the idea. Griggs has control of Sanchez's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sanchez regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Griggs raining down hammerfists from mount. Griggs jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Sanchez is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Sanchez and Griggs has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Griggs tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Griggs goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sanchez rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Griggs's guard! Nice work there by Sanchez!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Griggs trying to keep a closed guard but Sanchez is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Griggs is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Griggs has his foot on Sanchez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sanchez works his way back into a safe position though. Griggs looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sanchez is stalling in the full guard. Griggs wants to sweep but no luck. Sanchez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Griggs, up you get!

Griggs scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Griggs throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sanchez. Griggs catches Sanchez with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Griggs rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sanchez moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Griggs with a lazy takedown attempt and Sanchez counters with a two punch combo. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Deacon Griggs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Griggs closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Griggs is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Sanchez wants to get back to full guard. Sanchez is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Griggs seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sanchez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Griggs is looking to stall here but Sanchez recovers full guard. Sanchez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Griggs controls the pace. Deacon Griggs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sanchez keeping full guard, as Griggs tries to pass. Griggs drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Griggs as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Sanchez screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Griggs! Nice submission victory there!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel throws a combination that misses and Howe counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A left lands for Steel.
It looks like Tim Howe has been cut. Steel will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Howe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Howe doesn't succeed with the takedown and Steel counters with an inside leg kick. Howe uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Steel. Steel wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Howe looks to land a combination. Steel sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Steel throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Howe stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Howe looks gassed! Howe shoots and misses and Steel counters with a beautiful punch that sends Howe to the canvas! Steel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Howe swivels though and keeps the full guard. Howe has momentary wrist control but Steel slips an elbow through the middle. Howe keeping full guard, as Steel tries to pass. Steel passes Howe's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel is looking for a kimura but Howe is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Steel to get the leverage. Steel has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Howe wants to improve his position but Steel is controlling well.
Steel is pressing down on Howe's thigh, looking to free his foot. Howe is holding on for now. Steel moves nicely into side control. Steel advances to mount. Howe is trying to escape the mount.
Steel fails to move to back control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Steel has hold of Howe's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Howe manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel scoring with strikes but Howe is staying in there. Howe prevents Steel from taking his back. Steel with a couple of short strikes. Howe has given up his back.

Steel smells blood and goes for the finish - the referee warns Howe to improve his position but he's not intelligently defending himself and the referee has no choice but to step in and end the fight! Steel jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hill pinned against the cage. Hill gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Smith closes the distance looking to clinch and Hill cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hill cracks Smith with a good jab. Hill cracks Smith with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Hill lands a right hook to the body.
Smith has his takedown stuffed and Hill counters with a nice uppercut. Smith shoots in and drives through. Hill sprawls well. Bobby Hill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reggie Smith. Smith shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hill counters with a straight right hand. Smith gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hill counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Reggie Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith looks gassed! Hill thuds a left hand into Smith's body. Hill lands a jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hill with a nice cross.
Smith is rocked! Hill lands with a shot to the body. Hill bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Smith's head. Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Hill finish him? and Hill counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Smith! He's just covering up as Hill starts to tee off till referee steps in and stops the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corleone misses with a takedown and McQueen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. McQueen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McQueen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Corleone looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. McQueen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Corleone, who protects the arm well. Corleone is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McQueen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McQueen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! McQueen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Corleone, who protects the arm well.

McQueen working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. McQueen goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Corleone rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McQueen's guard! Nice work there by Corleone! McQueen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Corleone defends well. There's a bit of a scramble here and now McQueen is on top in guard.

Corleone is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for McQueen. Corleone scores with a couple of short elbows. You can see the frustration on McQueen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. McQueen gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. McQueen looking for submissions off his back. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Corleone winds up and cracks McQueen with a swinging punch to the side of the head. It connects and Ripper has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Ripper misses with a takedown attempt - Quaritch sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Quaritch fakes the leg kick and cracks Ripper in the body. Ripper shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Quaritch lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Ripper is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Quaritch's half guard.
