Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rico Suave! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suave tries for a takedown but Chen circles away easily and Chen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Chen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Suave regains half guard. Suave makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Suave. Chen throws and elbow that misses. Suave uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chen's guard. Nice move by Suave! Chen has a closed guard, preventing Suave from standing up. Chen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suave postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Chen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Suave defends it easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Suave looking to pass the guard. Suave postures up in Chen's guard and throws a big left but Chen blocks it. Suave working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Suave forces his way into half guard. Chen tries to roll over but Suave keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Suave tries to pass the half guard into mount. Chen knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Chen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Chen is defending against the submission attempts here by Suave.
Suave throwing shots but Chen is blocking nicely. Chen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Suave is working away from the top position though. Suave looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chen is in trouble now - Suave has advanced to mount! Chen is trying desperately to improve position. Suave punishing his opponent with strikes. Suave is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Chen has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Chen! Suave looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chen content to stall in guard here. Suave trying to control the position.
Chen wants to get up but he can't break Suave's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Chen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Suave manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chen has Suave in his guard. Chen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Suave defends well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rico Suave dominated that round. That's time! Chen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A lazy body kick from Chen and Suave decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chen's guard. Chen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Suave forces his way into half guard. Chen won't allow Suave to pass to mount. Suave thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Suave trying to mount his opponent but Chen defends it. Suave passes the guard and advances to mount! Chen is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suave scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Suave avoids the attempt from Chen to control. Chen avoids a series of strikes thrown by Suave.
Suave swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Chen is now in Suave's guard. A big mistake from Suave there, giving up the dominant position! Suave is breathing heavily. Chen controls from within his opponent's guard. Suave is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suave keeping moving, preventing Chen from controlling successfully. Chen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Chen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Suave not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Chen drops back looking for a leg! Suave is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Suave manages to kick Chen off! Chen jumps back into Suave's guard. Suave avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suave lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
Chen throwing strikes from guard but Suave blocks nicely. Chen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Suave has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chen has managed to get both his arms back between Suave's legs - danger averted. Suave keeping moving, preventing Chen from controlling successfully. Chen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Suave on the ground. Chen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Chen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Chen sitting in guard here, content to control. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Suave bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chen's guard. Chen has a closed guard, preventing Suave from standing up. Chen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Suave is one step ahead there. Chen pushes Suave off and scrambles back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rico Suave showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
The fight stays on the outside here - Chen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Chen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Chen closes the distance but Suave moves to the side and Suave counters with a head kick. Chen scores a takedown into full mount!

Weezing throws a combination that misses and Maia counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Maia prevents Weezing from improving his position. Maia is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Weezing is just riding it out for now. Maia eventually gives up the hold. Weezing tries to get to full guard but Maia has control of the leg. Maia tries to pass the half guard into mount. Weezing knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Toney rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zorin moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Zorin shoots in looking for a takedown but Toney manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Zorin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Zorin drives through with a takedown into guard. Zorin trying to control the position from guard on top but Toney is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Zorin drops back looking for a leg! Toney is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Toney manages to kick Zorin off! Zorin jumps back into Toney's guard. Zorin drops back looking for a leg! Toney is in trouble here! and Ck counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Plex keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ck. Plex lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Chu Ck has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Plex misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Plex gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Plex missing with knees to the body.
Plex lands an elbow just above Ck 's eye. Plex looks to throw an elbow but misses. Plex putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Ck in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Plex lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Ck misses with a punch to the body.

The fighters circling - Plex throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Plex throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Plex tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ck waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Plex. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Plex to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

It looks like Perfect Plex has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ck throwing strikes from guard but Plex blocks nicely. Plex is still in real trouble! Can Ck finish him? Plex wants to get back to his feet but Ck is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Plex seems to have recovered his senses. Ck in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ck is looking to work some ground and pound but Plex has wrist control. Ck throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Plex works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ck trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ck throws a big right hand that misses. Ck stops Plex from standing up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A close round but Perfect Plex will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nice uppercut there from Ck. Perfect Plex is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Plex swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Plex. Ck misses with an uppercut
and Plex counters with a big head kick but Ck shrugs it off. Ck throws a lazy right hand but Plex sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Plex misses with a head kick.

Plex utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ck postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ck throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Plex works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ck won't allow Plex to sweep him here. Plex keeping moving, preventing Ck from controlling successfully. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Plex is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ck with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Ck lands a couple of decent looking shots. Ck landing with the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ck throws a big right hand that misses. Ck throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Plex works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ck is working Plex over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Welsh shoots in looking for a takedown but St Patrick manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Welsh's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
