0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Hardlock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Randy Couture! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hardlock looks to clinch and Couture counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Hardlock tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Couture counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Couture moves into the clinch successfully.
Couture lands a body punch. Hardlock is breathing heavily. A short right from Couture on the inside. Couture lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Hardlock fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Couture throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Nice body punch from Couture. Couture cracks Hardlock with a nice body shot.
Couture escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Couture gets a clinch. Couture lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Couture lands a hook to the side of the head. Couture digs a right hand underneath Hardlock's ribcage. Hardlock let out a lung full of air as it connected. Couture working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Couture breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Couture's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Couture duly obliges. Hardlock closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Couture works Hardlock's body with a nice hook.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hardlock tries to clinch but Couture moves away and Couture counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Couture lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Couture. Hardlock doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Couture lands with a shot to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Couture instigates a clinch. Couture throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hardlocks head. Couture lands a nice uppercut. Couture gets through Hardlock's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Still in the clinch, Couture scores with a nice short uppercut. With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Couture creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Couture cracks Hardlock with a nice body shot. Couture scores with a nice hook to the head. Couture lands a nice shot to the body. Couture lands a left hand.
Nice body punch from Couture. Couture scores with a shoulder strike. Couture makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Couture working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
 Hardlock is rocked! A short uppercut from Couture. Oh Hardlock is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Couture lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Hardlock to his knees! Couture keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Davis sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ryan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ryan.
 It looks like Michael Davis has been cut. Ryan misses with a double jab
and Davis counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ryan looks gassed! Davis tries to clinch but Ryan is having none of it. Ryan with a nice cross. Jaymz Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Davis lands with a kick to the temple. Ryan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Ryan swinging wildly here.

and Davis makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Davis misses with a takedown attempt enabling Ryan to counter with a crisp jab. Davis lands a nice looking body kick. Ryan misses with a left hand and Davis counters with a body kick that stops Ryan in his tracks momentarily. A left lands for Davis.

Davis has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ryan uses from the top position. Davis looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Davis trying to keep a closed guard but Ryan is proving a slippery customer.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan won't allow Davis to get back to his feet. Ryan wants to stand and escape but instead Davis has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Davis passes into half guard. Ryan is staying active underneath Davis, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Davis is looking to take a break and control but Ryan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ryan is looking to escape. Davis looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

 We're going to have a standup here because Michael Davis wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Ryan scores with a crisp jab that stopped Davis in his tracks. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Davis. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ryan throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Davis moves in looking to clinch but Ryan pushes him off. Davis dodges the punch combination from Ryan.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ryan misses with a jab, cross combination.

Ryan throws a right hand that Davis ducks under and follows up with a left that Davis also avoids with ease. Davis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ryan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ryan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A jab from Ryan finds it's way through Davis's defenses. Davis wants to clinch. Ryan misses with the combination.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ryan throws a jab when Davis was well out of range. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Davis dominated that round. The cut man is working on Michael Davis's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Davis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ryan swivels and escapes. Ryan throws a shot from downtown. Davis moves away and avoids it. Davis looks to land a combination. Ryan sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Davis is defended easily by Ryan. Davis walks into a left hand. Some wild striking there from Ryan.

Ryan cracks Davis with an open hand slap. Ryan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ryan wants it to stay on the feet. Davis uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ryan.

Ryan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Davis circles away quickly and effectively. Ryan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ryan wants it to stay on the feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Davis. A slow jab from Ryan misses its intended target. Ryan might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Davis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ryan's waist but Ryan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Davis off to one side. A combination from Ryan does no damage. Ryan swings and misses with a shot to the body and Davis counters with a thumping low kick.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis regains half guard. Davis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ryan tries to stand but his arm is trapped. The fighters are battling for position here. Davis manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Ryan tries to stand but Davis is controlling from the bottom. Ryan wants to stand and escape but instead Davis has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Ryan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryan wants to stand up but Davis is controlling him. Davis tries to stand but Ryan is controlling from the bottom. Davis wants to control from the top but Ryan keeps moving. Ryan wants to stand up but Davis is controlling him. Davis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Davis wants to control from the top but Ryan keeps moving.  That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
 The ref stands the fighters back up. Michael Davis wasn't doing enough on the ground. Ryan stalks Davis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Davis's face. Davis staggers backwards, shaken. Ryan works the jab nicely. Davis wants to clinch. Nice straight punches there by Ryan. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ryan. Ryan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Ryan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Davis has him pressed against the ropes. Davis fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Davis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ryan walks away with a smile on his face. Davis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ryan throws a combination that misses and Davis finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Davis counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Davis. Davis tries to stall but Ryan uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Davis can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight. Ryan is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Ryan prevents Davis from breaking the clinch. Davis has Ryan pressed against the ropes, preventing Ryan from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Davis tries to score a body lock takedown but Ryan shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Davis keeps control of Ryan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Ryan is trying to force a seperation but Davis has the dominant position. Ryan tries to break free but Davis pushes him back against the ropes. Ryan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Ryan can't break the clinch.
Ryan swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A frustrated look appears on Davis's face as he tries to break the clinch. Davis lands a good knee to the midsection. Ryan won't want to take too many of those. Ryan is trying to push Davis away but Davis has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Ryan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Ryan is looking to break free of the clinch but Davis has double underhooks. Ryan tries to circle away but Davis has him pinned against the ropes. Ryan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Davis has him pressed against the ropes.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Davis can't break the clinch.
Ryan wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Ryan wants to break the clinch but can't.
Davis tries to pull guard but Ryan holds him up against the ropes and eventually Davis drops back down to his feet.
Davis decides to pull guard. Davis wants to get back to his feet but Ryan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Ryan wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Davis's closed guard. He's half up but Davis has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Davis pivots and extends the arm, Ryan falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Davis! Well done that man!

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynch gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. King is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Lynch shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and King counters with a straight right hand. Lynch walks into a jab. King bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Lynch shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and King counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynch on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
King closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Lynch trying to control here.
King tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lynch knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. King is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Lynch reverses the position - he's now on top in King's guard. King controlling Lynch's posture. King got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lynch has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, King has managed to get both his arms back between Lynch's legs - danger averted. King not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Lynch keeping moving, preventing King from controlling successfully. Lynch looking to control.

 The ref stands the fighters back up because Leonidas King just wasn't active enough. King lands a jab-cross combination. King lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. King jabs at Lynch's body. Lynch tries to close the distance and clinch up but King swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lynch fails in his attempt to clinch. Lynch has his takedown stuffed and King counters with a stiff right hand. King uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lynch has time to react.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rua moves out of range as Henderson strikes. Henderson avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Rua misses with a wild body shot. Rua misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
