0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Boxing Elite! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Overeem takes a body punch but keeps moving. Elite scores with a head kick. Overeem tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Alistair Overeem has been cut. Elite throws a head kick that half lands.
Elite lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Overeem tries to clinch but fails miserably and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Boxing Elite seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Overeem drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. A decent looking body kick lands there for Elite. Elite throws a head kick that Overeem semi-blocks.
Alistair Overeem's cut is getting worse. A kick lands to the mid section there for Elite. Both fighters circling a little - Elite finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Overeem is breathing heavily. Elite uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Overeem has time to react. Elite throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Alistair Overeem's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Elite takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Elite lands a high kick!
Elite sends Overeem crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Elite is motioning to the referee to let Overeem up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Jeez, Alistair Overeem's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Alistair Overeem's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Purell cracks Arona with a right hand to the side of the head. Ricardo Arona seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Arona shoots and misses and Purell counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A head kick misses from Purell. Arona misses with a takedown attempt and Purell counters with a right hand from hell and Arona is out cold! A vicious knockout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ishinzo tries to clinch up. Calil looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Calil shoots and misses and Ishinzo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Calil won't be happy with that. Calil takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ishinzo working the body and head with strikes. Ishinzo landing strikes. Ishinzo landing strikes. Ishinzo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Calil has escaped the position, nice work there. Ishinzo lands a few punches from side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! You can see the frustration on Calil's face as Ishinzo controls the position. Ishinzo tries for a kimura but Calil is defending well. Calil really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ishinzo connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Calil some visible discomfort.
Ishinzo has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Ishinzo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ishinzo decides to stand up, so the ref orders Calil to his feet. Ishinzo scores with a takedown into Calil's guard. Calil being controlled here, momentarily. Ishinzo trying to control the position from guard on top but Calil is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ishinzo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Ishinzo controls from within his opponent's guard. Ishinzo trying to control the position from guard on top but Calil is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Danilo Ishinzo wasn't active enough on the ground. Ishinzo is looking to clinch but Calil is avoiding it.
Danilo Ishinzo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ishinzo tries to close the distance and clinch but Calil swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ishinzo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Calil preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ishinzo trying to control but Calil is working from the bottom. Calil looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Ishinzo passes into side control.
Ishinzo moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ishinzo working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Ishinzo just content to control the position. Ishinzo decides to stand back up. Ishinzo steps back and let's Calil get back to his feet. A slapping leg kick lands for Ishinzo.
Ishinzo lands with a slapping head kick. Ishinzo throws a body kick that misses. Ishinzo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Calil tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ishinzo is in Calil's guard. Calil had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ishinzo defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ishinzo is stalling in the full guard. Let's hope that Ishinzo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Danilo Ishinzo hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A head kick misses from Ishinzo. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He has the arm isolated but Calil is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Ishinzo trying to control the action but Calil is working from the bottom. Ishinzo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Ishinzo avoids the attempt from Calil to control. Ishinzo wants to control the pace but Calil is squirming around nicely. Ishinzo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Danilo Ishinzo. Calil gets caught flat footed, as Ishinzo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ishinzo advances position into side control! The referee asks Ishinzo politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ishinzo prefers to stall for the moment though. Ishinzo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Calil keeps working. Ishinzo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Calil, who protects the arm well. Ishinzo has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ishinzo trying to control the action but Calil is working from the bottom. Ishinzo is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Calil will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ishinzo trying to control the position but Calil is working away. Ishinzo moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Calil stops Ishinzo from passing to mount.

He catches Calil napping and manages to drive through into side control! Calil is looking to reverse the position. Ishinzo wants to control but Calil is keeping him busy. Danilo Ishinzo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Ishinzo pushing down on Calil's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Ishinzo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Calil defends it well. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ishinzo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ishinzo wants to take a breather but Calil is having none of it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Ishinzo keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Calil is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ishinzo pulls his head out easily. Calil is in trouble now - Ishinzo has advanced to mount! Danilo Ishinzo has got the better of the ground game so far. Ishinzo controlling his opponent. Ishinzo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Calil is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Calil wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Ishinzo is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Calil gets tackled into the cage by Ishinzo. Ishinzo maintains the clinch. Ishinzo manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Ishinzo wants to sweep here but Calil controlling him for the moment. Ishinzo has Calil pulled in close to control his posture. Calil stopping the sweep attempt from Ishinzo. Ishinzo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ishinzo breaks from Calil's wrist control and lands an elbow. Ishinzo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ishinzo trying to control but Calil is having none of it. Ishinzo takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Calil is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Calil is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Calil is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Ishinzo gets his way!

Ishinzo slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Alexandre Calil has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Danilo Ishinzo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Calil is covering up but some of the strikes from Ishinzo are getting through and doing damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Danilo Ishinzo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ishinzo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Kos. Boys gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kos counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Kos wants to take a breather but Boys is having none of it. Boys is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kos throwing shots but Boys is blocking nicely. Boys wants to improve his position but Kos is controlling well.

Kos is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Boys tries to hold on but Kos pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boys is trying to stand up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boys keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kos avoids the attempt from Boys to control. Boys swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Boys working to try and regain half guard.
Kos lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Kos sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Kos in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Kos looks gassed! Kos postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Boys looks a forlorn figure.
Boys tries to lock up and control but Kos gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Boys flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Kos lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Boys regains half guard. Boys is pressing down on Kos's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kos trying to control the position from guard on top but Boys is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boys wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kos's guard. Boys is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Boys not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Boys wants to pass the guard but Kos is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boys working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Boys controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Boys thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boys controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Kos is trying to push Boys off with his feet but Boys grabs hold of one of the legs and drops back looking for a submission! He's cranking on one of Kos's ankles and Kos is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaall over!
