The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Buckler clinches with his opponent.
Buckler wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sapp is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Buckler is trying to break the clinch but Sapp is controlling him.

Buckler breaks from the clinch.

Sapp looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sapp is pressing down on Buckler's thigh, looking to free his foot. Buckler is holding on for now.
Buckler is refusing to be controlled, as Sapp sits in half guard.

Buckler has one foot on Sapp's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Buckler stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Buckler wants it to stay on the feet.

Buckler throws a combination. Sapp tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Wand Sapp has been cut.
Buckler throws a series of punches but Sapp avoids them all with ease.
Sapp slips a jab and a cross from Buckler.

Sapp blocks a low kick nicely.
Buckler will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Buckler throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sapp on the side of the head.

Buckler fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sapp, pushing him back against the cage.
Buckler wants to break free but Sapp has control.
Buckler is trying to break free.
Buckler tries to break the clinch but Sapp is controlling the position.
Sapp is trying to drag Buckler to the mat but Buckler just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jesse Bjoern Buckler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wand Sapp.
Buckler lands a body shot.
Sapp keeps control of Buckler as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sapp tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Buckler just stands there and leans against the cage.
Sapp tries to pull guard but Buckler holds him up against the cage and eventually Sapp drops back down to his feet.

Buckler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Buckler swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sapp will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Buckler swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sapp counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Buckler is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Buckler has Sapp up against the cage in a clinch.
Buckler tries to circle away but Sapp has him pinned against the cage.

Buckler is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Buckler is looking to break free of the clinch but Sapp has double underhooks.
Buckler gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sapp.
Sapp keeps control of Buckler as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Buckler tries to break the clinch but Sapp is controlling the position.
Sapp changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Buckler fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Sapp shoots in but Buckler avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Sapp throws a head kick that misses.

Buckler drops Sapp with a beautiful combination! Sapp stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Buckler is looking for the KO!

Sapp is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Buckler throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sapp.
Sapp misses with a takedown attempt
and Buckler counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Sapp off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Buckler follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Sapp was out before he hit the floor.

Benson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Banana dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

and Benson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Benson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Banana manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Crane connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Jag to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Crane!
