The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Molibdenowy circles away from the clinch attempt.
Blachowicz jabs Molibdenowy to the body, keeping him at a distance. Molibdenowy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Mateusz Molibdenowy has been cut. Blachowicz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Blachowicz preventing the sweep. Blachowicz trying to control but Molibdenowy is working from the bottom. Blachowicz prevents Molibdenowy from getting back to his feet. Blachowicz controlling from the top position. Molibdenowy trying to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jan Blachowicz. The fighters circle, before Blachowicz throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Molibdenowy's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Blachowicz lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Helmsley moves into range and clinches up with Byevgeni. Byevgeni is trying to force a seperation but Helmsley has the dominant position. Byevgeni is trying to break the clinch but Helmsley has him pressed against the cage. Byevgeni taking a breather. Helmsley is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Byevgeni gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Byevgeni trying to land knees to the body.
Helmsley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Helmsley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Byevgeni pinned against the cage. Byevgeni gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Yevgeni Byevgeni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Helmsley has managed to clinch.
Helmsley has had enough of the clinch but Byevgeni keeps him there for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Helmsley jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Byevgeni walks away with a smile on his face. Helmsley gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Yevgeni Byevgeni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Byevgeni tries to close the distance and clinch up but Helmsley swats him away and circles back towards the center. Byevgeni tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Helmsley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Helmsley fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Byevgeni pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Helmsley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Byevgeni but Byevgeni pushes him off and we're back to square one. Helmsley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Byevgeni pinned against the cage. Byevgeni gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Helmsley looks for a takedown but Byevgeni sprawls well. Helmsley looks gassed! Byevgeni changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Helmsley tries to avoid it but Byevgeni manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Helmsley to the ground. Helmsley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Byevgeni closes the distance and clinches. Byevgeni has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Helmsley avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Helmsley takes a shot right to the bread basket. Byevgeni tries to close the distance and clinch but Helmsley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Byevgeni misses with a takedown attempt and Helmsley counters with a single leg into guard. Byevgeni didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Helmsley postures up.
Byevgeni knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Helmsley on the ground. Byevgeni is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Byevgeni isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Helmsley stacks Byevgeni on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Helmsley! Helmsley cracks Byevgeni with an elbow. That is naaassty. Helmsley advances to mount. Byevgeni tries to control the position but Helmsley now has his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Helmsley biding his time, controlling Byevgeni. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Byevgeni has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Helmsley is not going to allow Byevgeni to sit and survive in this position. What can Byevgeni do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Byevgeni decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Helmsley is doing well to control the position and prevent Byevgeni from advancing to side control. Byevgeni wants to control but Helmsley is keeping him busy. Helmsley is controlling Byevgeni's trapped leg to prevent Byevgeni from advancing to side control. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Helmsley misses with some strikes from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Byevgeni wants to free his trapped foot but Helmsley is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Helmsley shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Helmsley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Byevgeni as he avoids it easily. Byevgeni tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Helmsley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Byevgeni with a lazy takedown attempt and Helmsley counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Byevgeni's guard now. Helmsley is breathing heavily. Helmsley sitting in guard here, content to control. Helmsley stands up over Byevgeni, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Helmsley looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Helmsley makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Helmsley slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

It looks like Hunter Hearst Helmsley has been cut. Byevgeni gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Byevgeni has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Helmsley is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Byevgeni. Byevgeni wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Helmsley cracks Byevgeni with a big elbow. Byevgeni bucks up and tries to throw Helmsley off but instead Helmsley has got his back! Helmsley has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Byevgeni is in real trouble here. Helmsley gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Byevgeni is tapping out! Helmsley wins by rear naked choke!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bond is looking to clinch. Bond shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Bond controlling from mount. Bond has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Rogan tries to hold on but Bond pushes him away. Bond controlling the position easily from mount. Rogan really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Santos stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Santos wants it to stay on the feet. Maxwell looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Santos throws a right and a left that both miss. Maxwell throws a lazy right hand but Santos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Maxwell shoots for a takedown but Santos saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Maxwell throws a sloppy body shot
and Santos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Santos fails to land with a series of punches.

Santos pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Maxwell back to the cage. Santos follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Santos throws a left and a right that both miss
and Maxwell counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Santos's guard now. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Maxwell prevents Santos from getting back to his feet. Maxwell lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Maxwell throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Santos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maxwell swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Santos has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Maxwell is proving hard to escape from.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Santos wants to stand but Maxwell has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Santos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maxwell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

and Maxwell counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Santos's guard now. Santos pushes Maxwell off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Maxwell is breathing heavily. A telegraphed right hand from Maxwell misses the target. Santos looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Nice jab there from Santos. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Santos connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Santos fails to land with a series of punches.
Maxwell tries to clinch up but Santos circles away and keeps his distance. Santos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Maxwell. Maxwell looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miguel Santos dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Santos throws a series of punches but Maxwell moves out of range. Santos connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Maxwell moves out of range of the leg kick from Santos. Horrible takedown by Maxwell or perhaps it was just good defense by Santos which made him look bad. Santos throws a right and a left that both miss. Maxwell misses with a body shot.

Maxwell has managed to clinch.
Maxwell is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Santos can't break the clinch.

Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Santos wants to control but Maxwell is keeping him busy. Santos with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Maxwell is staying active underneath Santos, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Maxwell is rocked! Juan Maxwell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Santos looks to land a combination but Maxwell avoids it well. Santos lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Maxwell goes down and covers up as Santos starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vantinnen closes the distance but Drysdale moves to the side and Vantinnen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Vantinnen darts in trying to clinch letting Drysdale counter with a right hand. Vantinnen tries to clinch up and Drysdale counters with a straight right hand. Vantinnen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Drysdale.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Some wild striking there from Vantinnen.
Drysdale tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vantinnen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Drysdale somewhat. Vantinnen tries to clinch but Drysdale moves away and Drysdale counters with a big head kick but Vantinnen shrugs it off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vantinnen tries to clinch up and Drysdale moves into the clinch. Drysdale avoids a wild elbow strike from Vantinnen. Vantinnen lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Drysdale backwards. A nice left hand lands by Vantinnen.

Drysdale is trying to force a seperation but Vantinnen has the dominant position. Drysdale is trying to break the clinch but Vantinnen has him pressed against the cage. Vantinnen tries to land a knee to the head but Drysdale blocks with his arms.
