Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Caro Partizan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Wigger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Partizan comes into the arena with Sandstorm blaring out of the sound system. Hans Wigger told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Partizan gets in close and instigates a clinch. Wigger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Horrible takedown by Partizan or perhaps it was just good defense by Wigger which made him look bad. Partizan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Partizan lands in his opponent's guard. Partizan stopping the sweep attempt from Wigger. Partizan wants to pass the guard but Wigger is keeping the position. Wigger looking for a sweep. Not yet Wigger, not yet. Partizan tries to free his leg and advance position but Wigger is retaining full guard. Wigger wants to sweep but no luck. Partizan wants to control from the top but Wigger keeps moving. Partizan wanted to stand there but Wigger had control of the position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. Partizan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wigger on the ground. Partizan is not content to let Wigger control the position. Wigger seems to be working for a kimura but Partizan defends the submission attempt. Partizan pushes Wigger off looking to stand but Wigger dives back in and keeps control.

Partizan manages to get back to half guard. Wigger wants to work for an arm triangle but Partizan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Kao kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Till I Collapse - Eminem. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Kao really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Haage tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. and Sademies counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jokinen thinking. Jokinen misses with a lunging right hand
and Sademies counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Jokinen throws a poor cross that misses

and Berglomi finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Aquilani misses with a kick to the body and Berglomi counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Aquilani throws a wild hook but Berglomi just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Aquilani gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the ropes! The referee jumps in - Berglomi raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Good work there from Kuustonen! Venture struggling a bit here. Venture sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Venture might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kuustonen seems to be working for a kimura but Venture defends the submission attempt. Kuustonen is looking to take a break and control but Venture is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Christo lands a left and a right that send Vera crashing to the mat, dazed. Christo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dubai lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Dubai throws a head kick that misses. Sammakko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dubai avoids it really well and circles away. Sammakko misses with a right hand and Dubai counters with a nice body kick. Dubai throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dubai tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Sammakko counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Dubai throws a head kick but Sammakko moves out of range.
Dubai pushes Sammakko up against the ropes in a clinch. Sammakko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dubai looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sammakko is one step ahead there. Sammakko works over Dubai with some ground and pound from guard. Sammakko postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dubai is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sammakko is controlling him. Dubai knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sammakko on the ground. A nice elbow there by Dubai. Sammakko sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Abu Dubai is winning the standup battle so far. Dubai closes the distance and clinches. Sammakko has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Dubai clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Sammakko has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Dubai has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Sammakko has Dubai flattened out and is raining down punches. Dubai is trying to break free.
Sammakko is punishing Dubai with some ground and pound. Well, with Sammakko on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Dubai is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Dubai has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Sammakko has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Dubai taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Sammakko doesn't care though - he's delighted!
