Hippo moves to clinch but Connelly breaks away
and Connelly counters with a straight right hand.

Connelly gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hippo throws a knee to the head but misses.
Hippo throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Connelly blocks it with crossed arms.
Hippo wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Connelly lands an elbow inside.
Hippo blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Connelly gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Connelly winds up and cracks Hippo with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Connelly in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Hippo tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Connelly!

That was a close round but I would say that Billy Bob will probably get the nod.

Patrick Michnal struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Patrick Michnal told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!
