1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Wille Wiper! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Resin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wiper avoids it really well and circles away. Resin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Resin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wiper's waist but Wiper gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Resin off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phil Resin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Resin is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Wiper. Resin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Resin fails with a takedown attempt. Wiper moves into the clinch. Wiper pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Resin shoots in looking for a takedown. Wiper tries to sprawl out of it but Resin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wiper manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Resin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wiper sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Resin dives in and grabs Wiper's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wiper pushes down on Resin's head and hops out. Resin fails with a takedown attempt. Resin is breathing heavily. Wiper closes the distance and clinches. Wiper breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Resin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Resin gets tackled into the cage by Wiper. Wiper maintains the clinch. Wiper lands with a right to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wiper lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Resin backwards. Wiper lands a knee to the head.
Wiper ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wiper no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Wiper looking to hit a scissor sweep but Resin is one step ahead there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wiper manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Resin is desperately trying to improve his position but Wiper has a good base and remains in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wiper takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Resin really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Resin drops back looking for a leg! Wiper is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wiper manages to kick Resin off! Resin jumps back into Wiper's guard. Resin looking to sit in guard and control but Wiper gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wiper got a little sloppy there for a moment and Resin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wiper has managed to get both his arms back between Resin's legs - danger averted. Resin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! A cross from Wendigo lands.
It looks like Eino Hilavitkutin has been cut. Wendigo circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Hilavitkutin drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Wendigo follows Hilavitkutin to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grepp fails in his attempt to clinch. Grepp tries to close the distance and clinch but Akergaard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Akergaard displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Grepp throws out the jab. Grepp doesn't succeed with the takedown and Akergaard counters with a lovely straight right hand! Akergaard closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Grepp gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Grepp can't escape the position.
Akergaard jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Grepp manages to avoid the submission attempt. Akergaard in side control, just content to control the action for now. Grepp can't do much from the bottom here. Grepp regains half guard there - taking advantage of Akergaard's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Akergaard looking to control and managing it successfully. Akergaard lands a big elbow. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Akergaard wants to finish this one by submission but Grepp is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Akergaard. Akergaard lands a nice shot to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Akergaard is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Grepp can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Grepp with a lazy takedown attempt and Akergaard counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Akergaard is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Akergaard trying to control the pace. Akergaard is looking to take a break and control but Grepp is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Akergaard seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Grepp is breathing heavily. Akergaard passes to full mount!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Akergaard lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Grepp hang on? Akergaard lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Akergaard looking to control and managing it successfully. Akergaard scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Akergaard is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Grepp can do to turn this around? Grepp is bucking up trying to escape but Akergaard cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Akergaard looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Akergaard is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Grepp to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Grepp shrugs it off. Akergaard lands with some strikes. Akergaard dominating with strikes here. Akergaard postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Grepp bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Akergaard and the fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Lerppa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Lerppa throws a series of punches but Hardmeat avoids them all with ease. A combination from Lerppa does no damage. Hardmeat shoots in and bounces Lerppa off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Lerppa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hardmeat doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hardmeat manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hardmeat throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lerppa was covering up waiting for the punch and Hardmeat finishes the takedown easily into guard. Hardmeat trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lerppa looking for a sweep. Not yet Lerppa, not yet. Lerppa is looking for a triangle but Hardmeat pushes his legs off easily.

Hardmeat is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lerppa knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Lerppa is looking to reverse the position. Hardmeat just content to control the position. Lerppa is trying to get back to half guard. Hardmeat wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lerppa, who protects the arm well. Hardmeat is trying to get an arm triangle but Lerppa is defending well.

Hardmeat advances nicely into full mount. Hardmeat has hold of Lerppa's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lerppa manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Hardmeat has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Lerppa is forced to tap!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sherki takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Sherki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sherki darts in trying to clinch and Arben counters with a lovely shot to the body. Sherki wants to clinch but Arben slips to the side and Arben cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Alexis Sherki has been cut. Sherki doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Arben lands a nice hook to Sherki's body. Sherki takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Sherki looks gassed! Sherki drops his hands for a split second and Arben immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Sherki face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Arben follows up with a right hand that knocks Sherki into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

It looks like Lisandro Licha has been cut. Dostoevsky putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Licha in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Dostoevsky throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Licha blocks it with crossed arms. Dostoevsky misses with a knee to the head. 8 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Rogerio Gracie! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Surfer. Surfer bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gracie's head.
It looks like Rogerio Gracie has been cut. Gracie paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Gracie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Surfer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Gracie fails with the takedown and Surfer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rogerio Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Surfer misses with an uppercut. Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Surfer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Gracie shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Surfer napping and manages to drive through into side control! Gracie tries for a kimura but Surfer is defending well. Surfer is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

Gracie looking to control but instead Surfer has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Gracie trying to mount his opponent but Surfer defends it. Surfer wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gracie works his foot free and advances to mount. Gracie is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Surfer has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Surfer! Surfer trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gracie's guard. Surfer trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. Gracie not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie tries to work over Surfer's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Surfer scores with a nice hook to the head. Gracie throws an elbow that misses.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Gracie just misses with a elbow thrown towards Surfer's brow. Gracie takes a shot to the head. Surfer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Surfer throws a looping overhand right but Gracie ducks down to avoid it. Gracie fails with the takedown enabling Surfer to counter with a crisp jab. Surfer loads up on a big right hand but Gracie slips the punch. Silver Surfer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie is looking to clinch. Surfer clinches up against the cage. Gracie blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Gracie pushes off an throws an elbow but Surfer leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Gracie wants the takedown. Surfer is fighting it off but Gracie persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Surfer's guard against the cage. Gracie is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Gracie passes Surfer's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Gracie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Surfer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gracie.

Gracie moves nicely into side control. Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Surfer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gracie has hold of Surfer's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Surfer tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gracie cranks the arm and Surfer screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Surfer, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
