The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Dynamite misses. Dynamite tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sommers paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dynamite misses with a series of wild punches.
Sommers throws a quick inside leg kick. Sommers scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Dynamite wants to get back to his feet. Sommers perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Dynamite pushes Sommers off looking to stand but Sommers dives back in and keeps control.
Dynamite is breathing heavily. Sommers is figuring out what he wants to do next. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Sommers stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sommers shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dynamite as he avoids it easily.

Dynamite fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sommers shoots in for a takedown and gets it, with a heavy slam. That will score well with the judges. Sommers stays in close to Dynamite's body and controls the position. Sommers in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Sommers slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dynamite looking to control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tj Sommers hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Sommers keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sommers shoots in looking for a takedown but Dynamite manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sommers's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Dynamite slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Sommers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dynamite as he jumps to the side. Kid Dynamite has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tj Sommers. Sommers gets tackled into the cage by Dynamite. Dynamite maintains the clinch. Sommers has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dynamite avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Dynamite avoiding damage as Sommers throws knees to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dynamite in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Sommers is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Dynamite can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Sommers tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Sommers landing strikes, looking to finish! Dynamite on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dynamite tries to get out of the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sommers postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dynamite looks a forlorn figure.

Dynamite connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Dynamite rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sommers moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Sommers shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Dynamite scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Dynamite displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sommers. Sommers doesn't manage to clinch there - Dynamite circles away.

Dynamite is fighting it off but Sommers persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Dynamite's guard against the cage. Dynamite trying to control the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Dynamite ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sommers moves away. Sommers is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dynamite sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sommers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sommers missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Tj Sommers has got the better of the ground game so far. Sommers stands up and beckons Dynamite to join him on the feet. Dynamite tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sommers was well out of range. Poor timing from Dynamite. Sommers shoots for a double leg takedown but Dynamite sprawls well. He's pushed Sommers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dynamite moves into range and clinches up with Sommers. Dynamite pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nice sprawl there from Dynamite as Sommers shoots in. Dynamite throws a head kick that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kid Dynamite dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Sommers shoots for a double leg takedown but Dynamite sprawls well. He's pushed Sommers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sommers fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Dynamite scores with a hook to the body. Sommers takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. A jab lands there for Dynamite. Sloppy strikes from Dynamite. Those never looked like landing. Sommers showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dynamite.

Dynamite throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sommers tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dynamite is in Sommers's guard. Dynamite is looking to stand up but Sommers won't let him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sommers has Dynamite pulled in close to control his posture. Dynamite has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sommers is proving hard to escape from.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sommers has control of Dynamite's left arm, preventing Dynamite from doing any damage. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Sommers lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dynamite! Dynamite keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Mike Marsden showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Marsden, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
