Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wilhelm Reich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roger Nelson! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reich with a lazy takedown attempt letting Nelson counter with a right hand. An inside leg kick lands from Nelson. Reich misses with a takedown attempt and Nelson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Reich's guard. Nelson trying to control the position from guard on top but Reich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nelson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Roger Nelson wasn't active enough on the ground. An inside leg kick lands from Nelson. Reich with a lazy takedown attempt and Nelson counters with a low kick, right behind Reich 's knee. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilhelm Reich. That's going to take a lot out of him. Reich misses with a takedown and Nelson counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reich takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nelson keeps Reich at a distance using the push kick. Nelson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Reich counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Nelson! Nelson tries to hold on but Reich pushes him away. Nelson is looking to get to half guard. Reich controlling from the full mount. Reich tries to control but Nelson wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reich prevents Nelson from getting the reversal. Nelson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Reich tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Nelson can't escape the position.
Reich with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Reich is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Nelson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nelson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Reich has hold of Nelson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nelson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Nelson tries to improve his position but Reich has taken his back! Reich has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Nelson tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Reich pushes Nelson away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thangs throws a leg kick and Dent counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Thangs. Thangs misses with a telegraphed body shot
enabling Dent to counter with a crisp jab. Dent throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Thangs stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Thangs shoots and misses and Dent counters with a nice double leg into guard. Thangs working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dent. Dent has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Dent loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Dent wants to pass the guard but Thangs is keeping the position. Dent is working hard here to advance position. Dent trying to control but Thangs is working from the bottom. Dent advances to half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thangs can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dent works his way into full mount! Thangs blocking the ground and pound. Dent controlling his opponent. Dent lands a heavy elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dent punching from mount but Thangs doing a good job of avoiding damage. Dent working Thangs over with strikes here. Thangs holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Dent tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Thangs blocking the ground and pound. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dent cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dent sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Dent throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Thangs because Dent loaded up on that one. Dent sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Dent lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Thangs looks gassed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcghee changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Mcghee misses with a telegraphed body shot
enabling Greg to counter with a crisp jab. Mcghee misses with a lunging right hand
and Greg counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Mcghee lands the left hand. Mcghee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mcghee lands a lovely overhand right. Mcghee takes one on the button. Mcghee lands a jab to Greg's midsection. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Greg fails with a takedown attempt. Mcghee scores with a jab to the body. Greg has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mcghee finds it's way round the side to connect with Greg's head. Greg shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Mcghee wants to improve his position but Greg is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Greg is just content to waste time from the top position. Mcghee takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Mcghee scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Mcghee scores with a sloppy right hand. Greg should have avoided that one. Mcghee lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Greg takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Greg fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Greg looks gassed! Some wild striking there from Greg.
Horrible takedown by Greg or perhaps it was just good defense by Mcghee which made him look bad. Fisty Mcghee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Greg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcghee tries to bum rush Greg with a series of wild strikes but Greg uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Mcghee lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Greg doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mcghee counters with a straight right hand. Greg throws a wild hook but Mcghee just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Greg gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Mcghee raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paulson tests Mashburn's chin there with a solid looking shot. Mashburn on the wrong end of a nice hook. Paulson thows a body shot but no joy. Paulson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Mashburn in his tracks. Paulson misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Mashburn to counter with a crisp jab. Mashburn fails to land with a series of punches.
Paulson getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Mashburn keeps the fight on the outside. Paulson is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Mashburn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mashburn throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mashburn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Paulson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mashburn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Paulson swivels and escapes. Robert Paulson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barry Mashburn.
That's one minute gone in the round. No joy there for Mashburn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Mashburn is rocked! Mashburn swats away the attempt to clinch by Paulson. Mashburn is still on wobbly legs! Can Paulson finish him? A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mashburn. Mashburn seems to have recovered his senses. Mashburn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Paulson's waist but Paulson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mashburn off to one side. Mashburn looks gassed! Mashburn takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. A big left from Paulson misses. Paulson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Mashburn shoots in looking for a takedown but Paulson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mashburn's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paulson lands a big right hand that sends Mashburn crashing to the mat! Paulson stays standing though and waves Mashburn back to his feet! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mashburn falls off balance throwing a combination
and Paulson counters with a stiff right hand. Paulson connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Mashburn out cold! This one is over in a flash!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stormrage gets tackled into the cage by Travos. Travos maintains the clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Travos. Travos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stormrage looks to clinch and Travos counters with a takedown into side control. An elbow from Travos crashes against the mat.
Stormrage on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stormrage tries to get out of the position. Stormrage dodges the ground and pound from Travos. Stormrage is not content to let Travos control the position. Travos tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Travos slows the pace down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Travos goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Stormrage has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Travos but great work by Stormrage. Stormrage lands an elbow. Travos has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Stormrage misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stormrage working away. Travos regains half guard, as Stormrage was trying to land strikes. Travos moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Travos wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stormrage postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Stormrage postures up in Travos's guard and throws a big left but Travos blocks it. Travos has control of Stormrage's left arm, preventing Stormrage from doing any damage. Stormrage working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Boris Travos hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Stormrage moves into the clinch successfully.

Stormrage tries to throw a body punch but Travos avoids it by throwing Stormrage back against the cage. Stormrage stalling in the clinch.

Stormrage misses with a hook from the clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on Stormrage - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Travos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Stormrage wants to clinch but Travos slips to the side and Travos counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Stormrage's guard now. Stormrage avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Stormrage is controlling Travos's posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stormrage avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Stormrage knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Travos on the ground. Travos wants to control from the top but Stormrage keeps moving. Travos throwing strikes but missing. Travos wants to control from the top but Stormrage keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Travos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Travos tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stormrage knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Travos throwing shots but Stormrage is blocking nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Travos stalling. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boris Travos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Travos is looking to work some ground and pound but Stormrage has wrist control. Travos with a flurry of punches that miss. Travos controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Let's hope that Travos has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Travos wants to control from the top but Stormrage keeps moving.
And that's the end of the fight! Boris Travos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Travos winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tori throws a head kick that Rivera semi-blocks.
Tori throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rivera. Tori swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rivera cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Tori throws a sloppy head kick and Rivera connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Tori checks a leg kick nicely. Tori fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

And that's the end of the fight! Junior Rivera comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rivera has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
