0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Billy Holmes! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Holmes has closed the distance and engaged Liddell in a clinch.
Liddell prevents a takedown attempt there.
Holmes keeps control of Liddell as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Liddell wants to get back to striking at distance but Holmes won't allow it.

A frustrated look appears on Liddell's face as he tries to break the clinch. Liddell is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Holmes displaying some good clinch control by pressing Liddell up against the cage. Liddell tries to circle away but Holmes has him pinned against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Liddell has had enough of the clinch but Holmes keeps him there for the moment. Holmes prevents Liddell from breaking the clinch. Holmes is trying to trip Liddell. He has hold of a leg but Liddell is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Holmes persists though and gets the takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Holmes might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Liddell kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Liddell is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Liddell is trying to push Holmes away but Holmes has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Holmes manages to break the clinch.
Liddell takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Balentic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Matija Balentic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Henning blocks a head kick by Balentic.

Henning changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Balentic looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Henning landing a few strikes. Balentic is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Henning asserts his dominance and retains side control.
