16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kanye West! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roosevelt slips under a jab. Roosevelt looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A jab from Roosevelt misses. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from West. Roosevelt swings widly with a right hand
and West decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Roosevelt's guard. West missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. West slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. West has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. West trying to control but Roosevelt is working from the bottom. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. West engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
 OK we're going to have a standup here. Kanye West hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. West defending well as Roosevelt loads up on a big left hand.

 It looks like Kanye West has been cut. Roosevelt lands with a good body shot. A punch combination from Roosevelt misses. Roosevelt throws a nice looking combination but West bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Teddy Roosevelt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. West changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Roosevelt tries to avoid it but West manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Roosevelt to the ground. Roosevelt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Roosevelt missing with a left hand there. West was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. West takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Teddy Roosevelt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. West with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
West feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Roosevelt's calf. Roosevelt looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Roosevelt scores with a jab. West misses with a takedown attempt - Roosevelt sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Teddy Roosevelt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kanye West. Roosevelt avoids the body shot from West.
No joy there for Roosevelt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
West shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Roosevelt pinned against the cage. Roosevelt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. West looks gassed! Roosevelt misses with a hook

West stalling away here and it's allowed Roosevelt to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Roosevelt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for West on the ground. West passes easily into side control. Nice work. Sloppy strikes there by West. West wants to control but Roosevelt is keeping him busy.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sloppy strikes there by West. West trying to control the position but Roosevelt is working away. West tries to advance to mount but can't. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. West trying to control the action but Roosevelt is working from the bottom. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kanye West will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kanye West's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Roosevelt counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. West keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

West looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Roosevelt bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! West looking to control but Roosevelt passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roosevelt trying to mount his opponent but West defends it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

West looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are battling for position here. West manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Roosevelt wants to stand but West is controlling his posture from full guard.
West is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Roosevelt defends well.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Roosevelt trying to control the position from guard on top but West is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Roosevelt wanted to stand there but West had control of the position. West wants to sweep but no luck.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Roosevelt looking to pass the guard. West pulls Roosevelt in close to his closed guard and prevents Roosevelt from doing any damage or advancing position. Roosevelt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
 We're going to have a standup here because Teddy Roosevelt wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. West shoots in but Roosevelt avoids the takedown attempt easily. Sloppy strikes from West. Those never looked like landing.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. West misses with a low kick. Roosevelt takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Roosevelt waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract West. Roosevelt dodges the punch combination from West.
West moves out of range of the strikes. Roosevelt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
West with a nice cross. Roosevelt will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Roosevelt doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Kanye West will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Kanye West's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

West closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Roosevelt prevents West from moving into mount. West throwing shots but missing, from side control. A lull in the action here. West lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
 That's one minute gone in the round. West wants to control but Roosevelt is keeping him busy. West is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Roosevelt will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Roosevelt takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. West scores with punches from side control.
West goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Roosevelt has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for West but great work by Roosevelt. West struggling a bit here. West is looking to reverse the position. West is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. West controlling the position for now. Let's hope that West has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. West is pressing down on Roosevelt's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kanye West has got the better of the ground game so far. West lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Roosevelt! West controlling from mount.

Teddy Roosevelt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! West takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. West tries to control but Roosevelt wriggling away.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brugnolo. Mockalatz misses with a head kick.
Mockalatz fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Brugnolo checks it well. Brugnolo throws a looping overhand right but Mockalatz ducks down to avoid it. Mockalatz throws a sloppy head kick and Brugnolo makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Mockalatz checks a leg kick. Brugnolo swinging wildly here.
Brugnolo misses with a low kick. A low kick from Mockalatz misses and Brugnolo counters with a nice uppercut. Brugnolo takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Mockalatz is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Mockalatz is looking to slow Brugnolo down with leg kicks. Mockalatz is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Mockalatz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mockalatz feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Brugnolos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
 Brugnolo is rocked! Mockalatz dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Oh Brugnolo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mockalatz has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. This has been an exciting period of action! Mockalatz fakes the body blow, causing Brugnolo to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Brugnolo goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Martinez is working Lupaus over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Martinez in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Lupaus is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Lupaus tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Fernando Martinez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Martinez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lupaus as he avoids it easily. Martinez lands a nice leg kick that just misses Lupaus's sensitive parts. Lupaus has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Martinez. A good leg kick by Martinez. Martinez throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Martinez throws a sloppy head kick and Lupaus moves out of range easily. Martinez throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Martinez tries a head kick but it misses.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Martinez thumps Lupaus with a low kick. A punch lands to the side of Lupaus 's head but he takes it in his stride. Martinez moves into range and connects with a jab. Martinez fails to land with a series of punches.

 Lupaus is rocked! Martinez with a body punch. A glancing blow. Martinez lets loose with a powerful body kick. Lupaus will feel that in the morning. Martinez slips under a jab. Martinez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fernando Martinez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Martinez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Martinez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Martinez is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Martinez sizes up Lupaus with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Nice cross by Martinez. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Martinez is defended easily by Lupaus. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Martinez shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A solid body kick from Martinez. Martinez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lupaus checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Lupaus throws a lazy right hand but Martinez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Lupaus misses with a jab, cross combination.
Martinez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Lupaus is breathing heavily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Martinez trying to control the action but Lupaus is working from the bottom. Nice strikes from Martinez there. Martinez perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Martinez passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Lupaus! Martinez working Lupaus over with strikes here. Martinez lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Martinez raining down shots from the mount! Martinez dominating with strikes here. Lupaus is still in real trouble! Can Martinez finish him? Martinez putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Martinez unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Lupaus wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Martinez celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Horne is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Assunicao is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Assunicao with shots to the head and body - Horne looks very uncomfortable down there. Assunicao lands a big shot there that rocks Horne but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Horne looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Horne wants to get back to striking at distance but Assunicao won't allow it.

Horne preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Silvano Assunicao has got the better of the ground game so far. Horne looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Assunicao postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Horne wants to sweep but no luck. 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Maximus Meridius! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maurizio swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Maurizio wants to clinch and Meridius counters with a lovely straight right hand! Maurizio checks a low kick from Meridius. Maurizio is looking to chop away at Meridius's legs. Maurizio closes the distance but Meridius moves to the side and Meridius counters with a flying knee. Nice. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Meridius. Maurizio shrugs it off though. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Meridius moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Maurizio throws a lazy head kick and Meridius counters with a flying knee. Nice. A shot to the body from Maurizio misses and Meridius counters with a lovely straight right hand! Maurizio has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Meridius. Maurizio is breathing heavily. Maurizio takes a head kick and keeps coming.
 It looks like Mick Maurizio has been cut. A nice inside leg kick there by Meridius. That's going to slow Maurizio down. Meridius with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Maurizio steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Meridius. That one must have hurt. Maurizio tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Meridius cracks the inside of Maurizio's front leg. A head kick from Meridius lands but Maurizio takes it in his stride. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Maurizio on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Meridius lands a big head kick that sends Maurizio tumbling to the mat! Meridius takes a step backwards and waves Maurizio back to his feet - he wants the finish!
 Maurizio is rocked! Meridius thuds his shin into the meat of Maurizio's side. Meridius circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Maurizio drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Meridius follows Maurizio to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berrian drops his hands momentarily and Hughes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Berrian explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Hughes throws the left hand but Berrian avoids the punch easily. Berrian pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nice cross by Hughes. Berrian getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Berrian thumps Hughes with a low kick. Berrian throws a head kick but Hughes moves out of range.
Dingle Berrian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hughes checks a leg kick. Berrian misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hughes paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Berrian fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hughes. Hughes scores with the left hand. Berrian knows he should have avoided that one. Hughes throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hughes misses with a straight right. Good leg kick by Berrian there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Berrian throws a front kick aimed at Hughes's knee but Hughes avoids it well. Hughes throws a series of strikes that have Berrian backpedaling.
Berrian attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Berrian takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Hughes lands a lovely overhand right. Berrian fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hughes manages to avoid it. Hughes throws a lazy right hand but Berrian sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hughes takes a head kick and keeps coming.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hughes lands with a nice body punch. Hughes feints a jab promting Berrian to slip. Hughes then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Berrian slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Berrian tries to work over Hughes's front leg with a kick but Hughes checks it. Dingle Berrian is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Berrian throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Berrian throws a sloppy head kick and Hughes counters with a two punch combo. Hughes ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Berrian tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Berrian, right into the meat.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hughes crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Berrian - the referee stops the clock and Hughes gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Berrian. Hughes manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Berrian defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hughes. An inside leg kick lands from Berrian. Hughes connects with the punch. Berrian pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hughes lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Hughes is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Berrian had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into p�t�. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hughes. Dingle Berrian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ratt Hughes. Hughes throws a series of punches but Berrian avoids them all with ease. A head kick misses from Berrian. Berrian throws a leg kick and Hughes counters with a series of strikes. Berrian will be more careful next time no doubt.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hughes shoots in for a takedown but Berrian shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Berrian.

Berrian dips to his left and cracks Hughes with an uppercut! Hughes scores with a crisp jab that stopped Berrian in his tracks. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hughes misses with a hook. Berrian throws a head kick that misses. Berrian looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Hughes misses with a looping right. Hughes stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Berrian. Berrian checks a low kick from Hughes. Hughes throws a one two combo.
Hughes is looking to chop away at Berrian's legs. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hughes tries to score with a low kick but Berrian moves his leg out of the way. Hughes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Berrian. Hughes has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Berrian. Hughes is working the combinations to good effect here. Berrian throws a sloppy body shot
and Hughes makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Berrian throws a half hearted mid kick. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ratt Hughes will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Hughes shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Hughes tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Berrian tries to hold on but Hughes pushes him away.
Hughes swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Berrian is now in Hughes's guard. A big mistake from Hughes there, giving up the dominant position!
Hughes looking for a triangle here. Berrian is fighting it but it looks tight! Hughes pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Berrian is tapping out - this one is all over!
