The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cavalcante swings widly with a right hand
enabling Baldoza to counter with a crisp jab. Baldoza doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cavalcante counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Wilson Baldoza has been cut. A big right from Cavalcante misses. Cavalcante stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cavalcante wants it to stay on the feet. Baldoza tries to clinch but Cavalcante moves away and Cavalcante counters with a crisp right hand that drops Baldoza! Cavalcante lets Baldoza back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Baldoza is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Baldoza staying out of range there. Oh Baldoza is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Baldoza steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cavalcante. Cavalcante loads up on a big right hand but Baldoza slips the punch. Baldoza moves away from the strike by Cavalcante. Baldoza seems to have got his legs back now. Baldoza connects with a leg kick. Cavalcante looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Baldoza keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cavalcante displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Baldoza. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilson Baldoza. That's going to take a lot out of him. Baldoza pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wilson Baldoza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Baldoza slips a straight right by Cavalcante. Cavalcante gets tackled into the cage by Baldoza. Baldoza manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Cavalcante wants to stand and escape but instead Baldoza has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Baldoza throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cavalcante works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Baldoza pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cavalcante is keeping the position for now. Baldoza wanted to stand there but Cavalcante had control of the position. Baldoza has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Cavalcante is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Baldoza passes to full mount! Baldoza throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Cavalcante because Baldoza loaded up on that one. Baldoza throwing strikes here but Cavalcante is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mo azzame Enqelab slaps away a takedown attempt from Silcic, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mo azzame Enqelab takes a swing at Silcic's ribcage but misses. Silcic swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mo azzame Enqelab moves into the clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Mo azzame Enqelab is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Silcic is defending well for now. A short uppercut from Mo azzame Enqelab. Mo azzame Enqelab lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Mo azzame Enqelab pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Silcic's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Mo azzame Enqelab. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Emerson misses its intended target. A big left from Emerson misses. Emerson lands a nice shot that snaps Saint's head back.
Saint takes a shot right to the bread basket. Ralph Waldo Emerson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A solid leg kick lands there for Emerson.
Emerson misses the shot to the body. Saint swats away the attempt to clinch by Emerson. Saint moves out of range of the strikes. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Emerson, as that shot connected.

Ralph Waldo Emerson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Emerson. Saint on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Saint steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Emerson. Emerson loads up on a big right hand but Saint slips the punch. Saint drops his hands momentarily and Emerson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Emerson tries to clinch but Saint moves away and Saint counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Emerson is looking to stand up but Saint isn't so interested in that idea. Emerson is trying to control the position but Saint postures up. Saint throwing strikes from guard but Emerson blocks nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saint sitting in guard, not really doing much. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Emerson can do anything to dispel that myth. Emerson wants to sweep but no luck. Saint controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Emerson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Saint moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Emerson attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Emerson misses with a looping right. Emerson is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Emerson lands a nice looking body shot.
Emerson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Emerson moves to clinch but Saint breaks away and Saint counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Saint takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Saint scoring with strikes to the body and head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Emerson is looking to get back to full guard here but Saint has managed to pass to side control instead. Emerson is looking to reverse the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ralph Waldo Emerson will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Emerson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. A punch lands to the side of Saint 's head but he takes it in his stride. Emerson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Saint in his tracks. Emerson throws a head kick but Saint moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round. Saint is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Emerson. Emerson throws a series of punches but Saint avoids them all with ease. Emerson works over Saint's head and body with a nice combination. Emerson tries to clinch up but Saint circles away and keeps his distance. Saint avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Saint looks to land a right hand but Emerson moved out of range. Saint looks to land a left hand but Emerson moved out of range nicely. Emerson tries to clinch but Saint moves away and Saint counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Saint is taking a breather. Emerson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Emerson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Saint to score an easy takedown into full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Saint tries to free his leg and advance position but Emerson is retaining full guard. Saint controlling from the top position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Emerson wants to sweep here but Saint controlling him for the moment. Emerson is trying to keep Saint in close.
Gui Saint has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Saint walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Gui Saint will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

That must have hurt him. Nice defenses there by Saint. Emerson misses with a looping right. Saint slips a straight right by Emerson. Emerson throws a push kick but Saint slaps the foot to one side. Emerson throws a looping overhand right but Saint ducks down to avoid it. Emerson throws the left hand but Saint avoids the punch easily. Emerson throws a looping overhand right but Saint ducks down to avoid it. Ralph Waldo Emerson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Emerson with a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Saint ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Emerson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Emerson misses with a straight right. Emerson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Saint looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Saint throws a big shot that misses. Emerson throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Saint scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Saint working away. Saint is staying tight to Emerson's torso, preventing him from escaping. Emerson can't do much from the bottom here.

He's persisting with it as Emerson sprawls well. Emerson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Saint gets slowly back to his feet. Emerson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Saint. Emerson tries to clinch and Emerson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Emerson is looking to clinch but Saint is avoiding it.
The fighters circling - Emerson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Emerson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Patricks forces his way into half guard. Gracie moves into full guard.

Ruenos with a lazy takedown attempt and James decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ruenos's guard. James postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ruenos is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of James, into his guard. Ruenos has gone for a leg lock! James slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ruenos's guard. James controlling from the top position. James in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ruenos keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully.

James thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. James lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

James is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. James frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. James swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ruenos is now in James's guard. A big mistake from James there, giving up the dominant position! Ruenos looking to pass the guard.

James stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ruenos swivels though and keeps the full guard. James controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ruenos is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. James trying to control the position from guard on top but Ruenos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Josh James has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Ruenos with a lazy takedown attempt and James counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ruenos is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. James trying to control but Ruenos is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruenos is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Let's hope that Ruenos has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. James has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ruenos shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and James counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Josh James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pablo Ruenos. Ruenos wants to get back to full guard. Ruenos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. James is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Ruenos reverses the position - he's now on top in James's guard.

Ruenos drops back, looking for a kneebar! James looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. James looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from James! James wants to control but Ruenos is keeping him busy. James throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Ruenos works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Cullen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Cullen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bicchiere . Bicchiere tries a head kick but it misses.
Bicchiere moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Bicchiere fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cullen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Bicchiere connects with a high kick. Cullen scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bicchiere doesn't seem bothered though. Cullen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cullen connects with a right hand. Bicchiere shakes it off. A nice leg kick lands there from Bicchiere .
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bicchiere throws a half hearted mid kick. Bicchiere lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Cullen avoids a punch combination nicely.
A telegraphed right hand from Bicchiere misses the target. Bicchiere fails to land with a series of punches.

Bicchiere throws a series of punches but Cullen avoids them all with ease. Bicchiere moves into range and connects with a jab. A shot to the body from Cullen misses letting Bicchiere counter with a right hand. Cullen takes one on the button. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cullen takes a swing at Bicchiere 's ribcage but misses. Nice shot by Bicchiere . Cullen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bicchiere manages to avoid it. Cullen throws a predictable looking body shot

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamaguchi throws a front kick that sends Karl stumbling back into the cage. Yamaguchi scores with a spinning back kick! Karl moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
It looks like John Karl has been cut. Yamaguchi connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Yamaguchi connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Yamaguchi scores with a leg kick.
