13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kim Karlsen! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith has closed the distance and engaged Karlsen in a clinch.
Smith tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Karlsen avoids it. Karlsen misses with an elbow over the top. Smith is fighting off a takedown attempt but Karlsen is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Smith to the mat. Smith regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Karlsen trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom. Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Smith throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Karlsen looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Karlsen looking to control but Smith is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smith tries to reverse the position but Karlsen maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Karlsen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Karlsen lands in his opponent's guard. Karlsen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Karlsen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Smith keeping moving, preventing Karlsen from controlling successfully. Smith will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Smith is looking for a triangle here but Karlsen uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Karlsen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Smith knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Smith takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Smith takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Smith seems comfortable defending it but Karlsen has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Smith is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Smith is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Karlsen couldn't care less - he's delighted!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lebedev is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bros's half guard. Lebedev looks to land a strike but Bros avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Bros pulls Lebedev in close to prevent any damage. Bros thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Bros utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lebedev wants to control from the top but Bros keeps moving. Lebedev missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bros wants to sweep here but Lebedev controlling him for the moment. Lebedev in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Lebedev postures up in Bros's guard and throws a big left but Bros blocks it. Lebedev scoring with punches to the head and body. Lebedev with a flurry of punches that miss. Lebedev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bros. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bros has momentary wrist control but Lebedev slips an elbow through the middle. Bros looking for a sweep. Lebedev must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bros is trying to control the position but Lebedev postures up. Lebedev wants to control from the top but Bros keeps moving. Bros seems keen to control Lebedev's posture. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bros throws a good cross that connects.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fights comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Fights lands an overhand right. Morientes takes a shot right to the bread basket. Morientes shoots and misses and Morientes takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Fights connects with a body shot that sends Morientes's belly button to the back. Fights cracks Morientes with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Morientes doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fights counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Morientes looks gassed! Fights digs a good hook to Morientes's body.
Fights connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Morientes's hands. Fights moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Morientes is rocked! Fights looks to throw the jab but Morientes is out of range. Morientes is still on wobbly legs! Can Fights finish him? Morientes moves out of range as Fights strikes. Fights has managed to clinch.
Morientes seems to have recovered his senses. Fights lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Fights lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Fights dips a shoulder and cracks Morientes with a mighty uppercut! Morientes falls back against the cage and Fights unloads with a barrage of strikes! Morientes is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Fights screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Thunder shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. No luck for Simeone with that takedown attempt. Thunder gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Simeone preventing the sweep. Simeone engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Simeone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jokinen walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. East checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. East misses the shot to the body. Jokinen misses with a low kick.
Jokinen keeps East at a distance using the push kick. A slapping leg kick lands for Jokinen.
Jokinen connects with an inside leg kick. Jokinen throws out a leg kick but East moves out of range and Jokinen only half commits. Jokinen throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. East stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jokinen. Jokinen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from East. East has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jokinen. Jokinen throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Jokinen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling East to score with a decent uppercut. Jokinen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

East closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jokinen did well to prevent East getting side control. East passes to full mount! East pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

East has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. East controlling the pace for now. East looking to control but Jokinen is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jokinen is looking to get to half guard. East lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jokinen hang on? Jokinen wants to hold on but East pushes him away.

East working away from the top, dropping strikes. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. East putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
It looks like Oskari Jokinen has been cut. Jokinen is trying desperately to improve position. East lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Danzig has closed the distance and engaged Magee in a clinch.
Danzig unloads a knee to the mid-section. Magee lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Danzig blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Danzig blocks an elbow strike. Danzig tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Magee prevents a takedown attempt there.
Danzig unloads a knee to the mid-section. Magee lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Danzig turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. You can see the frustration on Magee's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Danzig misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Danzig creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Magee sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Danzig sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Magee is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Danzig tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Danzig has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Danzig is looking to take a break and control but Magee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Danzig looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Magee is looking to regain half guard here but Danzig keeps moving and retains side control. Danzig thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Danzig throws a strike aimed at the side of Magee's head but Magee avoids it well. Danzig looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Magee is avoiding damage well.
Danzig with the ground and pound but Magee regains half guard under the barage of strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Danzig thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Magee's head. Magee taking some punishment here, with Danzig in his half guard. Danzig passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Magee! Danzig has control of Magee's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Magee regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Danzig has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Danzig is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Magee can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Danzig trying to control the position from guard on top but Magee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Danzig loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Danzig pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tyler feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Tyler postures up.
