Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kevin Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Higgins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sokolski is just riding it out for now. Higgins eventually gives up the hold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mackey throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Mackey throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Some bone on bone action there as Fredriksson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Fredriksson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mackey's waist but Mackey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fredriksson off to one side.

Fredriksson avoids the head kick by Mackey.
Mackey is looking to slow Fredriksson down with leg kicks.

Mackey feints and then cracks Fredriksson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fredriksson down.

Fredriksson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Jeez, Odin Fredriksson's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Odin Fredriksson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
