The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chandler tries for a takedown but Sakurai circles away easily and Sakurai counters with a lovely straight right hand! Sakurai pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Sakurai throws a sloppy head kick and Chandler counters with a one-two to the body. Sakurai pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Sakurai is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chandler. Chandler misses with a takedown attempt and Sakurai counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Sakurai throws a head kick but Chandler moves out of range.
Sakurai stuns Chandler with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Chandler misses with a takedown and Sakurai counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Hayato Sakurai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jakob Chandler.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hardy misses with a takedown and Hernandez counters with a crisp one two that drops Hardy! Hernandez thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Hardy to his feet! Hardy is in big trouble!
Hardy is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A punch combination from Hernandez misses. Hardy is still on wobbly legs! Can Hernandez finish him? Hernandez connects with a body shot. Some wild striking there from Hernandez.
Hardy seems to have recovered his senses. Jeremy Hardy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hardy fails with the takedown and Hernandez makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Hardy looks gassed! Hernandez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Van Damn. Overeem shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A chopping leg kick lands by Van Damn. Overeem shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Van Damn sprawls well. Van Damn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Overeem gets slowly back to his feet. Overeem closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Overeem lands in his opponent's guard. Overeem blocks a head kick by Van Damn.

Van Damn utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Overeem throws a strike but Van Damn rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Van Damn wants to get up but he can't break Overeem's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Overeem will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Alistair Overeem just wasn't active enough. Van Damn connects with a right hand. Overeem shakes it off. Overeem blocks a head kick by Van Damn.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Tyson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Tyson connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Stefan Roosmalen has been cut. Tyson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. This has been an exciting period of action! Tyson misses the jab. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Roosmalen. Tyson shrugs it off though. Roosmalen is looking to slow Tyson down with leg kicks. Tyson scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Tyson misses with a left hand and Roosmalen makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Tyson sends Roosmalen crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans fails with a takedown attempt. Good leg kick by Pandora there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Evans looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Evans misses with a right hand and Pandora counters with a low kick, right behind Evans 's knee. Nice takedown defense from Pandora. No joy for Evans on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rashad Evans. That's going to take a lot out of him. Evans walks forward, straight into a front kick from Pandora. Pandora misses with a kick to the body.
Evans shoots in for a double leg but Pandora sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Pandora fails in his attempt to clinch. Pandora keeps Evans at a distance using the push kick. Evans is breathing heavily. Pandora throws a leg kick which misses Evans's front leg but catches the back leg as Evans tries to avoid it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pandora chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Evans takes a kick to the side of the head. A head kick lands from Pandora that sends Evans to the canvas. Evans tries to scramble back to his feet but Pandora brings him back down into side control.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kraus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Yoshida's guard. Kraus drops back looking for a leg! Yoshida is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Yoshida manages to kick Kraus off! Kraus jumps back into Yoshida's guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kraus's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Kraus with a nice head shot there. Yoshida wants to stand up but Kraus is controlling him. Kraus working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kraus throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kraus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kraus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kraus postures up in Yoshida's guard and throws a big left but Yoshida blocks it.

The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Kraus thows a huge punch but Yoshida dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kraus connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Yoshida some visible discomfort.

Yoshida controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Kraus decides to take the fight back to the feet. Yoshida stuffs the takedown. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kraus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Yoshida tries to avoid it but Kraus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Yoshida to the ground. Yoshida escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Yoshida instigates a clinch. Yoshida has a couple of punches blocked by Kraus.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva scores with a one two! Douglas had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Thor Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva thows a body kick. Douglas tries to catch it but that hurt him. Douglas throws a leg kick that is checked and Silva counters with a one-two to the body. Silva paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Douglas takes a swing at Silva's ribcage but misses. Silva tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Douglas gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Douglas throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Silva's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Douglas avoids a kick to the body.

Silva checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Silva throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Douglas on the side of the head. Silva thows a leg kick but Douglas checks it and Douglas makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Douglas throws a half hearted mid kick. A jab from Silva does it's job there. Douglas throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.

Douglas is rocked! Silva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Douglas looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Thor Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Silva swinging wildly here.
Thor Silva is winning the standup battle so far. Silva thows a leg kick but Douglas checks it and Douglas counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Douglas to acknowledge the strikes. Good standup being displayed there by Silva as he connects with a hook. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Silva!
Silva lands with a nice combination. Douglas backs away looking to recover. Douglas is still on wobbly legs! Can Silva finish him? A low kick from Douglas is predictable there and Silva counters with a crisp right that sends Douglas to the canvas! Silva follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
