0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Colonel Shikishima! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mantana takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Good leg kick by Shikishima there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Shikishima throws a leg kick which misses Mantana's front leg but catches the back leg as Mantana tries to avoid it. Mantana takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Shikishima scores with a head kick.
Shikishima connects with an inside leg kick. Colonel Shikishima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shikishima turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Nice body kick from Shikishima. A nice leg kick lands there from Shikishima. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shikishima looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Mantana shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shikishima counters with a low kick, right behind Mantana 's knee. Mantana is breathing heavily. A good leg kick by Shikishima. Shikishima throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mantana's head. Shikishima throws a nice outside leg kick. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Shikishima - that will leave a mark!
Shikishima connects with a solid leg kick. Shikishima goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Mantana is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mantana takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Mantana is rocked! Shikishima scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Shikishima connects with an inside leg kick. Shikishima buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mantana takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Shikishima throws a nice inside leg kick. A decent looking body kick lands there for Shikishima. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shikishima scores with a spinning back kick! A slapping leg kick lands for Shikishima.
Shikishima lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Shikishima throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Shikishima fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mantana. Shikishima throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Shikishima lands a big head kick that sends Mantana tumbling to the mat! Shikishima takes a step backwards and waves Mantana back to his feet - he wants the finish! Oh Mantana is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Shikishima seems to be stalking Mantana here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Mantana drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Francis Okocha! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bakufu throws a body kick that misses. Okocha gets the takedown into side control. Bakufu is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Okocha off and has taken his back! Bakufu thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Bakufu punches the canvas rather than the man. Okocha looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Okocha covering up well under a series of strikes from Bakufu. Bakufu misses with a punch to the head. Okocha is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Okocha trying to control the position but Bakufu manages to sink in the hooks. Bakufu missing with strikes from the back. Okocha covering up well and avoiding damage. Okocha really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bakufu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okocha is trying to get back to his feet but Bakufu has full control of the position and if anything, Okocha has just worked his way into a worse spot. Bakufu misses with an elbow to the head. Bakufu missing with strikes. Okocha avoids the strikes from Bakufu. Bakufu throwing wild punches that miss their target. Bakufu misses with a punch to the head. Bakufu struggling to land strikes to the head as Okocha covers up. Okocha prevents Bakufu from getting a body triangle. Bakufu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Okocha has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Bakufu. Bakufu struggling to land strikes to the head as Okocha covers up. Okocha looks gassed! Bakufu wants to control but Okocha is keeping busy. Okocha covering up well and avoiding damage. Will Bakufu go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Okocha avoids the strikes from Bakufu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bakufu throwing sloppy strikes. Even with his hooks in, Bakufu manages to miss with strikes from the back. Bakufu struggling to land strikes to the head as Okocha covers up. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Okocha covering up well under a barage of strikes. Bakufu throws a series of strikes and Okocha wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here. Okocha wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Bakufu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Okocha avoids a series of strikes thrown by Bakufu.
Bakufu misses with a head shot. Bakufu with good strikes from the mount here! Bakufu punching from mount but Okocha doing a good job of avoiding damage. Okocha blocking the ground and pound. Bakufu misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Bakufu swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sato pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hornblower drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hornblower stands and throws Sato's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sato is trying to get back to his feet. Hornblower looks up at the clock and then as Sato takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Hornblower smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Sato on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Hornblower happy to just control the position for now. Hornblower cracks Sato with an elbow. That is naaassty. Hornblower in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hornblower is working to tighten is grip on Sato's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Sato has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hornblower is really squeezing tight and eventually Sato passes out! Hornblower breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Kalashnikov throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jackson counters into the clinch. Nicely done. A nice left hand lands by Jackson.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Jackson working some nice short punches in the clinch. Jackson lands with a short head shot on the inside. Kalashnikov doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Jackson pulls guard effortlessly. Jackson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kalashnikov trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kalashnikov defends it easily. Jackson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kalashnikov forces his way into half guard. Jackson works his way to full guard. Good work. Jackson has his foot on Kalashnikov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kalashnikov works his way back into a safe position though. Jackson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ozeki counters with a stiff right hand. Ozeki misses with a shot to the body and Bo counters with a body kick that stops Ozeki in his tracks momentarily. A punch lands to the side of Ozeki 's head but he takes it in his stride. Bo blocks the body kick.
Bo with a lazy takedown attempt and Ozeki counters with a nice double leg into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Bo is trying to keep Ozeki in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bo is looking to stand back up but Ozeki counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Bo. Ozeki looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
It looks like Johnny Bo has been cut. Bo holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Ozeki content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Ozeki is trying to control. Bo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ozeki lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Ozeki thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bo's head. Ozeki lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Bo on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That has opened up Johnny Bo's cut even more. Ozeki working over Bo with some ground and pound. Bo looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Ozeki is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Johnny Bo's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Johnny Bo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sakuragi darts in trying to clinch and Osada counters with a straight right hand. Sakuragi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Sakuragi misses with a takedown and Osada counters with a nice body kick. Sakuragi shoots and misses and Osada cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Sakuragi misses with a takedown and Osada counters with a good low kick that Sakuragi was not able to check. Kenichi Osada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hanamichi Sakuragi. Osada misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sakuragi tries for a takedown but Osada circles away easily and Osada counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Sakuragi looks gassed! Sakuragi darts in and clinches Osada up against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Sakuragi fails to land. Osada lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Hanamichi Sakuragi has been cut. Osada gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Sakuragi looking for a takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Osada creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Sakuragi changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Osada fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Sakuragi with a poor takedown and Osada makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. That kick from Osada tenderised Sakuragi's leg. Sakuragi is trying to keep his angry face on. Sakuragi takes a kick to the side of the head. A nice inside leg kick there by Osada. That's going to slow Sakuragi down. Kenichi Osada is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Osada connects with a leg kick. Sakuragi looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Osada dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sakuragi. That did some damage! Osada lands a front kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sakuragi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Osada throws a shot to the body.
A decent looking cross lands there for Osada. Sakuragi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Osada throws a quick inside leg kick. Osada scores with a head kick. Sakuragi tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice uppercut lands for Osada. That snapped Sakuragi's head back.
Osada instigates a clinch. Osada crunches a lovely knee into Sakuragi's ribcage. Osada breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice jab there from Osada. Osada is looking to slow Sakuragi down with leg kicks. Sakuragi fails with the takedown and Osada counters with a nice low kick that buckles Sakuragi's knee momentarily. Sakuragi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Osada is looking to slow Sakuragi down with leg kicks. Osada connects with a high kick. Osada scores with the left hand. Sakuragi knows he should have avoided that one. Osada shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sakuragi eats them both and turns towards Osada to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Osada looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Osada scoring well with a low kick there.
Osada throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Sakuragi takes a head kick and keeps coming.

A slapping body kick lands there for Osada. Osada delivers a nice body kick. Osada clobbers Sakuragi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Osada sizes up Sakuragi with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Sakuragi tries to move into range but Osada moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Sakuragi has his takedown stuffed and Osada counters with an inside leg kick. Sakuragi's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Osada is looking to slow Sakuragi down with leg kicks. Sakuragi is trying desperately to land a takedown but Osada is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Sakuragi.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Osada has closed the distance and engaged Sakuragi in a clinch.
Sakuragi blocks the elbow strike.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Osada obliges. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Knees in the clinch landing for Osada.

Osada crunches a lovely knee into Sakuragi's ribcage. Osada gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Osada lands an elbow inside that Sakuragi shrugs off. Osada creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Sakuragi goes for a takedown attempt but Osada pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Sakuragi wants to clinch but Osada slips to the side and Osada counters with a slapping leg kick. Osada lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Osada pushes Sakuragi away with a front kick. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Osada tests Sakuragi's chin there with a solid looking shot. Osada scoring well with a low kick there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenichi Osada dominated that round. The cut man is working on Hanamichi Sakuragi's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sakuragi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Osada. Osada obviously looking to wear him down.
Sakuragi doesn't succeed with the takedown and Osada counters with an inside leg kick. Sakuragi throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Osada was covering up waiting for the punch and Sakuragi finishes the takedown easily into guard. Sakuragi is fighting to break Osada's control of his arms but Osada is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Sakuragi is breathing heavily. Osada has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Sakuragi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Osada manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sakuragi manages to get himself to full guard.
Sakuragi keeping moving, preventing Osada from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sakuragi can do anything to dispel that myth. Sakuragi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Pierre takes one on the button. Excellent takedown into side control there by Brady. Brady working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. St Pierre taking punishment in the form of punches.
