The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sequeira fails with the takedown and Gordon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Sequeira misses with a takedown enabling Gordon to counter with a crisp jab. Sequeira doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gordon counters with a straight right hand. John Gordon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Sequeira. Gordon throws a leg kick but Sequeira sees it coming and checks it nicely. Sequeira shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gordon holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Gordon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gordon moves into the clinch. Gordon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sequeira with a poor takedown and Gordon counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sequeira thinking. Sequeira scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Yaw Yan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yan leaves Maia with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Yan misses with a jab to the body
and Maia counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Maia. Maia is fighting to break Yan's control of his arms but Yan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yan is looking to stand up but Maia isn't so interested in that idea. Maia drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Maia jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Maia drops back looking for a leg! Yan is in trouble here! and Kynis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kynis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Durante has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kynis finds it's way round the side to connect with Durante's head. Kynis bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Durante's head. Kynis walks into a straight right hand from Durante. Durante showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kynis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gene tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bagato swivels and escapes. Bagato throws a series of punches but Gene avoids them all with ease. Gene tries for a takedown but Bagato circles away easily and Bagato counters with a series of strikes. Gene will be more careful next time no doubt. Gene darts in trying to clinch and Bagato counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Gene shoots for a double leg takedown but Bagato sprawls well. He's pushed Gene's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jimmy Bagato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Levi Gene. Gene darts in trying to clinch and Bagato counters with a series of strikes. Gene will be more careful next time no doubt. Bagato misses with a series of wild punches.

and Bagato counters with a crisp one two that drops Gene! Bagato thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Gene to his feet! Gene is in big trouble!
Gene is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bagato connects with a nice cross there... Gene is looking wobbly and Bagato recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Gene to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Bagato jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gusto dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Guevara. That did some damage! Guevara throws a leg kick that is checked and Gusto counters with a thumping low kick. A solid leg kick lands there for Gusto.
Gusto tries to close the distance and clinch but Guevara swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Gusto moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Gusto scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Gusto really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Guevara throws a combination that misses and Gusto connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Guevara throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
