Gomes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Gomes's corner is telling him to maintain position. Cruz wants to get back to his feet but Gomes is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Gomes postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cruz looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gomes has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gomes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Gomes throwing strikes from guard but Cruz blocks nicely.

Gomes is breathing heavily. Cruz pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Cruz fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Santos tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Santos is looking to clinch. No luck with that takedown attempt from Jackson. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Troy Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. A looping hook to the body misses from Jackson. Santos does a little dance to reset his feet. Jackson fails with an attempt to clinch.

Santos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jackson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Santos somewhat.

Santos has a takedown stuffed. Jackson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Santos tries to avoid it but Jackson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Santos to the ground. Santos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Troy Jackson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jackson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Santos loads up on a big right hand but Jackson slips the punch. Santos shoots in and drives through. Jackson sprawls well. Troy Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Santos. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jackson, right into the meat.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Santos fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Santos has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jackson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Jackson obliges. Santos is looking to break free of the clinch but Jackson has double underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Troy Jackson dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Jackson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Santos puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Santos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Santos is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jackson is just riding it out for now. Santos eventually gives up the hold. Santos throwing shots but Jackson is blocking nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson looks like he's trying to stand up.

and Jackson counters by moving into the clinch. Santos is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Robinson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ward's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Robinson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ward sees it coming and defends easily. Ward tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Robinson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ward is bucking up trying to escape but Robinson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Robinson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Ward is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Robinson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Johnson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat. Johnson just misses with a punch to the body.
Some wild striking there from Johnson.
Johnson throws a body punch but Silva moves out of range. Silva shoots for a takedown but Johnson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Silva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Paul Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Silva. Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Johnson throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease. Johnson connects with a nice looking jab.
Johnson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Silva. Silva circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Johnson lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Silva sprawling to the canvas. Johnson follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Silva hang on?

Johnson sets himself and nearly takes Silva's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Toney shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Paris's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Toney wants to pass the guard but Paris is keeping the position. Toney being controlled here momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Toney preventing the sweep. Toney wants to pass the guard but Paris is keeping the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Toney accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Paris looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Paris seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

"I don't think so" says Paris as he avoids it easily. Toney looks to throw the jab but Paris is out of range. Paris connects with a nice looking jab.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Toney ducks right into an uppercut from Paris. Toney loses concentration momentarily and Paris pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Toney crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Paris finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
