Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tim Tungsten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lewis Lutetium! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Fedor Mirinova and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lutetium gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Tungsten stays in close to Lutetium's body and controls the position. Tungsten trying to control but Lutetium is working from the bottom. Lutetium has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Lutetium looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tungsten is one step ahead there. Tungsten trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tim Tungsten wasn't doing enough on the ground. Lutetium throws a sloppy head kick and Tungsten moves out of range easily. Lutetium closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Lutetium working away. A control attempt from Tungsten but he's now mounted! Tungsten on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tungsten tries to get out of the position. Tungsten tries to buck Lutetium off but he can't manage it. Lutetium can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tungsten is looking to escape. Lutetium wants to finish this one by submission but Tungsten is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lutetium. Tungsten blocking the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lutetium landing strikes from the mount and Tungsten is in trouble! Tungsten tries to buck Lutetium off but he can't manage it. Tungsten sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Lutetium thows a huge punch but Tungsten dodges it nicely.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lutetium in particular looking to stall. Tungsten is positioning himself well to prevent Lutetium advancing to mount. Lutetium perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lutetium sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tungsten defending well though. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tungsten is trying to control but can't.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Tungsten tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lutetium manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lutetium closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tungsten to the mat! Tungsten manages to get full guard. Lutetium trying to control but Tungsten is working from the bottom. Lutetium pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tungsten is keeping the position for now. Lutetium trying to control the position from guard on top but Tungsten is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Lewis Lutetium wasn't active enough on the ground. Tungsten moves out of range as Lutetium throws a body kick.
Tungsten pushes Lutetium up against the cage in a clinch. Tungsten has had enough of the clinch but Lutetium keeps him there for the moment. Lutetium has a couple of punches blocked by Tungsten.
Tungsten blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Tungsten pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lutetium fails with the takedown and Tungsten counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lutetium's guard now. Lutetium is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. A shot in the inside from Lutetium. Lutetium is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Tungsten is defending well for now. Tungsten looking for a takedown. Tungsten looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Lewis Lutetium will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Tungsten tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Horrible takedown by Tungsten or perhaps it was just good defense by Lutetium which made him look bad. Tungsten closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lutetium quickly recovers to half guard. Lutetium missing with punches from the bottom.
Lutetium has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lutetium kicks off Tungsten and gets to his feet. Lutetium fails with the takedown and Tungsten counters by moving into the clinch. Lutetium goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tungsten prevents it.
Lutetium wants to get back to striking at distance but Tungsten won't allow it.
Tungsten pulls guard. Tungsten knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lutetium on the ground. Tungsten looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lutetium in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Tungsten wants to hit a switch here but Lutetium passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Tungsten there! Lutetium looking to finish with strikes here!
Lutetium trying to control but Tungsten is having none of it. Tungsten is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lutetium trying to control but he's not successful this time. Lutetium throws some wild stikes that Tungsten manages to avoid easily.
Lutetium looking to ground and pound but Tungsten is blocking nicely. Lutetium has control of Tungsten's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Tungsten regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Tungsten tries to hold on but Lutetium postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tungsten is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Lutetium is standing up, even though he is in mount. Tungsten shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lutetium pinned against the cage. Lutetium gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Lutetium takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Tungsten throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Tim Tungsten is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tungsten clinches. Tungsten fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Tungsten. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lutetium tries to pull guard but Tungsten won't allow it.

Lutetium jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tungsten walks away with a smile on his face. Lutetium gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Lutetium connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Tungsten fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lutetium fails with the takedown and Tungsten counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lutetium won't be happy with that. Lutetium regains half guard. Tim Tungsten overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lutetium is breathing heavily. Lutetium kicks off Tungsten and gets to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Tungsten displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Tungsten dominated that second round. That's time! Tungsten's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Lutetium looking to control.
Tungsten postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Tungsten pushing down on Lutetium's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Lutetium has hold of Tungsten's hands but Tungsten slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Tungsten wants to pass the guard but Lutetium is defending well. Tungsten not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lutetium is not content to let Tungsten control the position. Tungsten escapes and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lutetium shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lutetium showed some decent athleticism there. Lutetium is trying to control. Tungsten wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Tungsten is trying to control but can't.
Tungsten is staying active underneath Lutetium, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Lewis Lutetium has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Lutetium tries to clinch but fails miserably and Tungsten counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lutetium won't be happy with that. Lutetium is looking for a sweep. Tungsten decides to take the fight back to the feet. Tungsten tries for a takedown but Lutetium circles away easily and Lutetium counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tungsten's guard now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tungsten throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Tungsten is trying to control the position but Lutetium postures up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tungsten uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nonito Donaire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominic Chasse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nonito Donaire had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 137.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Dominic Chasse has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chasse lands with a straight right. Donaire didn't see that one coming. Donaire looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Chasse misses with a combination
and Chasse takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Chasse throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Donaire crashing down! Donaire tries to stagger back to his feet but Chasse just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Donaire asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gengis Khan wants to clinch up but Palavra keeps it at a distance. Palavra throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gengis Khan's waist but Gengis Khan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Palavra off to one side. Both fighters circling a little - Gengis Khan finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Gengis Khan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gengis Khan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Palavra, pushing him back against the cage. Gengis Khan crunches a lovely knee into Palavra's ribcage. Gengis Khan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Palavra circles away from the clinch attempt and Palavra counters with a nice double leg into guard. Palavra is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gengis Khan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gengis Khan has escaped and now he's on top! Palavra wants to stand and escape but Gengis Khan is having none of it. Gengis Khan tries to stand but Palavra is controlling from the bottom. Gengis Khan tries to free his leg and advance position but Palavra is retaining full guard.

Gengis Khan throws a leg kick which misses Palavra's front leg but catches the back leg as Palavra tries to avoid it. Gengis Khan thumps Palavra with a low kick. Vinny Gengis Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gengis Khan connects with a solid leg kick. Gengis Khan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Palavra has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Gengis Khan darts in and clinches Palavra up against the cage. Palavra has Gengis Khan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gengis Khan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Gengis Khan utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Palavra looks gassed! Palavra has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gengis Khan. Good leg kick by Gengis Khan there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Gengis Khan. Palavra shrugs it off though. Palavra on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gengis Khan. Gengis Khan obviously looking to wear him down.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Palavra. Gengis Khan throws a head kick that half lands.

Palavra's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Gengis Khan closes the distance and clinches. Gengis Khan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Palavra shoots in looking for a takedown. Gengis Khan tries to sprawl out of it but Palavra keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gengis Khan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Palavra. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Palavra shoots in looking for a takedown but Gengis Khan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Palavra's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Palavra fails with the takedown. Gengis Khan lands a leg kick that knocks Palavra off balance momentarily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roufus takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Roufus misses with a shot to the body and Bennet counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Roufus shoots and misses and Bennet connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bennet stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Roufus gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bennet counters with a stiff right hand.
Roufus is rocked! Roufus tries to clinch up and Bennet counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.

Blah really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Blah throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Draven stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Blah on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Blah moves out of range of the body kick. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Blah crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Draven - the referee stops the clock and Blah gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Draven. Blah manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Blah throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Draven sees it coming and avoids it easily.
