0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dill Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pancho Cortez! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cortez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Davis doesn't manage to clinch there - Cortez circles away.
Cortez connects with a jab. Cortez pushes Davis away with a front kick. Dill Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cortez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cortez tries to keep at a distance but Davis has taken the fight into the clinch. Cortez is trying to break the clinch but Davis has him pressed against the cage. Davis wants a takedown but no success here.
Cortez tries to circle away but Davis has him pinned against the cage. Cortez wants to break free but Davis has control.

Cortez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Davis keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Davis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cortez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Davis working Cortez over with strikes. Davis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Davis winds up and cracks Cortez with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Davis connects with a nice short shot to Cortez's temple. Cortez wants to get back to his feet.
Davis content to control rather than advance. Davis landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Cortez is trying to escape back to his feet but Davis uses the scramble to pass into side control.

You can see the frustration on Cortez's face as Davis controls the position. Cortez takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Cortez taking punishment in the form of punches.
Davis advances nicely into full mount. Davis lands a heavy elbow. Davis content just to control the position here. Davis punishing his opponent with strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Davis controlling the pace for now. Davis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Cortez really wants to buck Davis off and get back to his feet.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Cortez is in a horrible position here. Davis smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Davis cracks Cortez with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Davis content just to control the position here. Cortez really wants to buck Davis off and get back to his feet. BOOM! Davis connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The referee warns Cortez that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Davis postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cortez looks a forlorn figure.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis with shots to the head and body - Cortez looks very uncomfortable down there. Cortez is trying to stand. Davis with the ground and pound from mount. Davis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. This has been an exciting period of action! Davis working away from the top, dropping strikes. Cortez really wants to buck Davis off and get back to his feet. Davis working the ground and pound effectively.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Davis has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
 The ref stands the fighters back up because Dill Davis just wasn't active enough. Cortez throws a head kick that half lands.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dill Davis. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Davis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshi Tatsu! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatsu shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fisher napping and manages to drive through into side control! Fisher tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Fisher tries to buck Tatsu off but Tatsu is having none of it. Tatsu taking a breather here.
Tatsu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fisher is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Tatsu tries to move to mount but Fisher blocks the move with his legs. Fisher tries to get back to half guard but can't. Fisher could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Tatsu trying to control the action but Fisher is working from the bottom.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Tatsu controlling the position. Fisher regains half guard, as Tatsu was trying to land strikes. Fisher wants to improve his position but Tatsu is controlling well.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Fisher fails with the takedown and Tatsu counters with a nice body kick.
Tatsu darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Tatsu wants to advance to full mount but Fisher doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Tatsu wants to get up but he can't break Fisher's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tatsu's corner is telling him to maintain position. Fisher wants to sweep here but Tatsu controlling him for the moment. Tatsu is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Fisher is breathing heavily.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like Tatsu might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Tatsu decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Tatsu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fisher. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tatsu controlling the action here.

Tatsu fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fisher, pushing him back against the cage. Fisher throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Tatsu closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fisher to the mat! Fisher manages to get full guard.
Tatsu decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fisher, up you get! Tatsu plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Tatsu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Tatsu turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Tatsu manages to end up in side control.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Tatsu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fisher keeps working. Fisher regains half guard. Tatsu takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Fisher misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Tatsu works his way into side control. Fisher is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tatsu connects with a nice short shot to Fisher's temple. Tatsu tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Fisher is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Fisher has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tatsu is working away from the top position though. Fisher tries to kick Tatsu off but Tatsu keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Yoshi Tatsu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

 That's one minute gone in the round. Tatsu tries to get to full guard but Fisher has control of the leg. Fisher is thwarting Tatsu's attempts to control the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A combination from Tatsu does no damage. Fisher leaves Tatsu with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Fisher fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tatsu throws a sloppy head kick and Fisher counters with a stiff right hand.
Tatsu shoots in and bounces Fisher off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Tatsu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Fisher looking to control.
Tatsu won't allow Fisher to sweep him here. Fisher is working hard here to advance position. Fisher keeping moving, preventing Tatsu from controlling successfully. Tatsu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fisher swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fisher decides to stand back up. Fisher steps back and let's Tatsu get back to his feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Fisher. Tatsu dives in and grabs Fisher's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fisher pushes down on Tatsu's head and hops out.
