The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lizard shoots in for a takedown but Young shows good takedown defense.

Lizard closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Young did well to prevent Lizard getting side control.
Lizard missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Young is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Young preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Lizard works his way into side control.
Lizard wants to stand but Young has his arm trapped.
Young managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Lizard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Young's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Young pushes down on Lizard's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lizard on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Lizard tries to get to full guard but Young has control of the leg.
Young lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Young is thwarting Lizard's attempts to control the position.
Young keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Lizard makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Young really felt that one!

Young closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Young is working to tighten is grip on Lizard's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Lizard has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Young is really squeezing tight and eventually Lizard passes out! Young breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Diaz circles away from the clinch attempt
and Diaz counters with a stiff right hand.
Iridium looks to clinch
and Diaz counters with a straight right hand.
Iridium takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Iridium tries to clinch up

and Diaz counters by moving into the clinch.
Iridium swings wildly with an uppercut but Diaz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Diaz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Iridium just stands there and leans against the cage.
Iridium comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Diaz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Diaz wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Iridium leaves Diaz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A slow jab from Iridium misses its intended target.
Iridium's jab looks to have found its range, popping Diaz under the eye.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sloppy strikes from Bunny. Those never looked like landing.

Bunny changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gailfus tries to avoid it but Bunny manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gailfus to the ground. Gailfus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Schnitz on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Zentsov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Zentsov lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Zentsov.
Schnitz misses with a shot to the body
and Zentsov counters with a nice low kick that buckles Schnitz's knee momentarily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Schnitz.

and Zentsov counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Schnitz is defended easily by Zentsov.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Schnitz. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Zentsov dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Schnitz. That did some damage!

Nice takedown defense from Zentsov. No joy for Schnitz on that attempt.

Zentsov lands a left and a right that send Schnitz crashing to the mat, dazed. Zentsov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Schnitzer Schnitz has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Schnitz takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Oh Schnitz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zentsov lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Schnitz falls backwards - clearly groggy! Zentsov dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

D cracks Cat with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Cat looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can D finish him?

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
D feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cat's calf.

D drops Cat with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cat looks back up at him and smiles so D waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
A looping hook to the body misses from D. Cat does a little dance to reset his feet.
Man D is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice defenses there by Cat.
D is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cat can do to turn this around?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clint Foote!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jr looks to throw the jab but Foote is out of range.
Jr takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Murdock Jr has been cut.
Foote tests Jr's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Foote drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Foote tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Foote working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Foote misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
